Thanks :D ! And I'm :mad: at myself! This is the secret I read about earlier in some posts awhile back
but was never able to find because I was searching the wrong room -- DeLoret's bedroom, in fact...Argh! The stuff in this cache would have been kind of useful...
I think I'm stuck early on. I believe I need to get into the library but can't find a way in.
Here's what I have done:
* completed loot objective
* gotten my equipment
* saw the 2 people being killed by Maurice
* found deLoret's journal
* been to the chapel
* been to the cemetary
* knocked out everybody except a little girl standing outside the theatre. she just stands there doing nothing. Is that Emilie? My find Emilie objective didn't get checked.
I can't find my way into the library. I understand that I need to get in there to get to dewdrop who is in the boarded up room. So how do I get into the library? Or do I need to do something else first?

you gotta get the library key, which the exact locale of the key escapes me at the moment. I believe it is upstairs in
DeLoret's Office
the library is downstairs in
DeLoret's quarters
the little is Emilie, but she should run off when you see her into DeLoret's front door

Thanks for the quick response ShadowWolf421.
I've just rechecked DeLoret's office (where I found his journal). Still can't find the library key. I thought I recalled reading a note somewhere which said DeLoret had given the key to one of his servants. I've knocked out everyone and picked them up but the key is not in my possession.
That little girl did run away once but she came back and now just stands there. I can walk right up to her and she doesn't move.
Anyone else remember where that key is?
*** UPDATE ***
Never mind. I just found the key. It was on one of those 2 people who were murdered by Maurice. In all the excitement I forgot to check them.

Man...I need help. I am so COMPLETELY lost, and reading half of the bjillion posts in this topic didn't help (they only confused me more actually...what's this about a dancing dewdrop and "ghost world"??). Anyway, I've been all over the place, and I have 2 objectives left- "find and destroy De Loret's property title deeds" and "find Emilie Victor". Need help badly...I found the dewdrop doll behind the painting, but there's no sign of a cemetery for me to use it in anywhere (unless by "cemetery" you mean the crypt next to
the underground hideout of the guy with the hammer...
So yeah, HELP!!! :erm:

Thanks Nightwalker, I actually ended up finding that walkthrough shortly after making that post and felt like a total idiot... :tsktsk:
Anyway, this is a great one! I played "Goblins" and it was so good it inspired me to beat it's two prequels which have just been sitting in my FM list collecting dust for almost a year now. Now I can't believe I waited so long to play them, great stuff! The author better get going on the next sequal... :thumb:

For as long as I've had Thief I've tried to get the noise arrows to work the way they were supposed to. Seems they're always tricky, often luring out more guards than you want or not luring them out at all even though the noise arrow is just a few feet away from them. In this mission there were a few spots I tried to use noise arrows to move guards to places where I could knock them out.
In ghost world there was a huge spider in an office. I tried to lure a guard into that room with the noise arrow, but he seemed reluctant to go that far. Even when he chased me into the room with the spider I had no luck in getting the two to fight. Instead they both chased me even if ran far enough to get away from both of them. When I came back, they'd both be back in their separate rooms.
Are some spiders and guards wired up to attack Garrett only?

I'm replaying this great FM after not having finished it quite awhile ago. Does anyone remember where the flowers are that you need to give to the girl to unlock the upstairs gate in Emilies world? :confused:
