The missions of the L'Arsene series are all good. One can see that the author's creations became better and better over time, and the Black Frog crowns this. But the L'Arsene mission as the first one in the series should already be good even with today's standards - although it definitely had too many different keys for my taste.:) At least that's what I wrote in my notes all these years ago.

Like I said in my last post, Emilie Victor is still one of my favorite FMs ever, second only to Rowena's Curse.
I tend to like the earlier, tighter & imaginative FMs to later, bigger and more sprawling ones by the same author ... like Lord Alan's Fortress > LA's Factory, Rowena's Curse > Seven Sisters, Emilie Victor > Black Frog, Ominous Bequest > Broken Triad, uh, some others I can't remember just now. But you get the idea. This may be my own peculiarity though, so people should take my opinions in that light.
