I figured it out right after I posted, which is why I edited my post. I must have done that while you were posting your reply. :) I HAD knocked him out the first time, because I kept alerting the guys in that room and I got frustrated. I went back to a slightly earlier save, was more patient and it worked properly. Thanks for the help, though. :)

I had previously knocked out the guy who is suppose to bring me the wine after I ring the bell. A bottle , sometimes two, appear on the floor near where he dropped in front of the fireplace, but the bottle is not frobable. How do I now get into the room behind the drunk guard?? Thank you.

I don't think you can. I did that the first time, too and I had to restart to a spot before I had knocked out the man with the bottles.
I also put one of the Masks in place before I had found the second one. When I put the second one on, the doors wouldn't open, so I had to restart from before the point where I had placed the first one. Possibly a bug?

I just finished on Expert and I have no idea what "silver gear" people are talking about. Did I miss something? I'm only 100g. short of the total available, so I must have seen most of the mission.

Nightwalker, I will have to start the whole game over due to lack of saves, however I agree with your assesment of the quality and concept of this FM. I have no problem restarting a mission this good.

Sorry! I didn't realize you were still stuck. I'm not quite sure which door you mean but I think it's probably [SPOILER] the door that you can see some eyeplants through? If that's the door, then there's a guy who walks very fast with a skull bouncing along behind him, patrolling through both houses and the passageway between them. He has the key to that door and in there, you'll find the way back to the normal world. [/SPOILER]
