T2 FM: Festung Valth - TTLG Forums

Is there an English version? The goals look fairly simple. Is Valth Fortress the title's correct translation?

"Festung" is indeed the German word for "fortress" and "Valth" seems to be a name so, yes, this would be a good translation.

Thanks for finding this - however, I'm not too thrilled at the moment (just started it) as the author claims in the readme that the mission won't be finished and bugs won't get corrected.
Four weeks of development and "No warranties!" don't sound promising, too
I also found an easter egg within the first minute of playing!? :wot:

So don't get your hopes up for an English language version (or any other).

As for the goals:
- Find a certain navigation globe.
- Find an artifact, which is supposed to be buried together with the father of Seargent Cutley.
- Find 1000 loot.

No other objectives.

Just a small note for interested players: This mission can be finished normally.

However, I advise to either get the globe or the artifact as the last item as there is no "reach the ending zone" goal if you want to maximize loot.

I experienced no bugs apart from the odd visual glitch here and there and a missing text on the only plaque in the mission...

I have not looked into this mission myself yet, but AFAIK this mission is unfinished and abandoned.

gnartsch (http://board.ttlg.de/thread.php?postid=115551#post115551) forwarded clearing's question about an English translation in the German forum already but obviously got no reply from the author.

Go into your \THIEF2\MOVIES directory and delete the file b20.avi
You won't see the briefing ingame but you can open the file separately in your movie player.

Has anyone found the "Globus?" If it's in the warehouse of giant crates, I cannot mantle up on those like you normally would be able to.

I just found the globe.
It is indeed in the area of large stacked crates.
I had to stack 2 small crates to get up on top of one of the stacks..
