To find the key for the upper door, you have to
go into the wine cellar beside the kitchen and look for a secret lever.
Bigger Spoiler:
The lever is under the panel of the "barrel table".
Nightwalker on 7/5/2003 at 20:31
Well, darn ! I was in there and I thought I looked carefully. I guess not! Thanks, Erluk. :) It probably would be easier if we could read all the notes, etc. to pick up hints, but even without that, this is a really nice mission, though I must admit, I'm playing it on Normal. I really feel bereft without my BJ, so I didn't want to try on Expert. Maybe I will after I've been through it this time. It's definitely worth playing more than once.

You really should try on expert. You'll have to ghost but I never had so much fun with a mission, since I'm someone who knocks out everything which is breathing. Forcing me to ghost was the best thing, that ever could happen to me. :cheeky: :cheeky:

I will try it on Expert, for sure. I just knew I wouldn't have time today to get even partway through if I had to sneak and I wanted to see the mission.

I would send you a screen shot if I knew how...I'm a total moron when it comes to stuff like that, but its ok I got a hint for the tower keys I needed but have another question the large lever you pull at the top of the tower opens something but I haven't figured it out yet....Maybe the hand of glory somewhere? I sure hope so.

Question:
After getting inside the BURGFRIED tower and going all the way to the top floor I flipped a floor switch but I have no idea what it does? I though it would open the cell where the hand of glory is located next to a corpse but it didn't.
Nightwalker on 8/5/2003 at 03:48
I'm only playing on Normal the first time through, but I've found the Hand of Glory.
It was in a cell in the underground jails, by a dead prisoner with flies buzzing around him. The cells open with a key that you find down there, somewhere, though I'm afraid I'm not sure which one. It's harder to remember when you don't understand the names.
However, I seem to be missing something that's probably obvious, since no one else is having a problem with it. I can't get my second objective ticked off, which is:
Why shouldn't I free Nepumuk? He knows much I'm interested in?
Where is he? I've been everywhere I can find, including the tower, but I still can't find him. Any help? :)
Auriga2us on 8/5/2003 at 04:21
If I am not mistaken (considering that I don't speak German) But I believe that my second objective ticked off (I am playing on expert) when
I entered the room with a guy who makes noises like a burick and knocked him out. The room is located down a set of strairs in the corner across from the room that has an underwater passage that leads to a well where a servant walks by with a lamp at the main house, near the kitchen. That area with the water has two entrances one a set of stairs, the other leads to a different room with a wooden plank atop atairs, under one side is a grass covered area you can hide, under the other side are the stairs I am referring to.
I remember the objective ticking off in that area, and I can only match it to this one, since the others are pretty straight forwards.
Another Question:
There is an area, that has a wooden door way on top a set of stairs with spiders behind it, but I have on keys to match the door.
Nightwalker on 8/5/2003 at 04:31
I don't recognize that area, so I'll go see if I can find it. Thanks.
As for your missing key, if I recall correctly
the key is actually hanging on a post right behind you when you stand facing the door. I almost missed it, too.
Nightwalker on 8/5/2003 at 04:44
Thank you, Auriga2us! That's what I was missing. In all my wanderings down there, somehow I had missed that particular passageway. :)
