 Hmmmmm...I've turned that wheel several times and nothing perceptible happens. Went back to the room that gave the hint about the wheel, but nothing has changed there either. Am I missing something???
Yay, someone else had the same problem. I can't tell you how many times I spun the damn thing
You have to do something else first, somewhere else - then the wheel will come into play.

As the plaque says:
It'll open when you've turned the wheel and have the Book of the Dead...
Well, so far this FM is keeping my attention in spite of RL issues. I must agree with the other comments about the texture work. Absolutely excellent.
I got stuck on where to find the levers too, until I checked the thread. Ran across the spoiler for
the other pit. The one by the blue light?
Now I'll have to check that too. How do you get down there without dying? NM, figured it out.
I must say that the
teleporting maze with the super fast mummies
was something of a treat. Scared the crap out of me. Not much does that anymore. Hope there are more coming further in. Updating my opinion on this FM as I go. So far, damn good.:thumb:
Now I'm not looking down, for all the good it is doing me, lol. Nice one.
Grr, I hate button puzzles. Oh, duh. NM. Too bad you couldn't replace the spider with a scarab AI. Now I can't find the staff either. Guess I'll go look again...
Absolutely excellent FM. The first I have finished in months, in spite of a major ongoing life crisis. This is an FM I would have payed for as part of a game.
In regards to the texture work, where did all of the amazing textures come from? Oh I see in the readme. I assume the mummies came from DedX? How on earth did you fix the problem with them sinking through the floor? I have been waiting for those to be put to good use ever since I first saw them.

Actually the mummies are completely homemade - reskinned zombies and haunts with sounds by Random_Taffer. Anyone who wants is welcome to use them!
The green poison mummies are actually apebeasts with a reskinned pagan model. Can't remember why I did that now, I probably had a good reason.
Well, if you shouldn't look down, try the opposite: look up!
Lol, oh no. I meant the other one. The one with the
firetrap.
I got the one about not looking down. And now I got the other one too at this point. Did everything but get the secrets.

sounds like you might be in the wrong place. The lever is
in a room which is visible through the upper wall of the long room that is accessible from the low tunnel leading from the entrance chamber. To get to it, go North from the entrance chamber and drop down into the wooden pit in the room with the blue Lost City gems on the walls. Follow that tunnel around, push the button to open the door, run past the mummy, up a couple more chambers, and there is the room. Now which lever you pick is up to you.... :ebil:

Thanks Nicked, I never saw that button :erm:
I gues those zombied would've made a great background sound for the Finn tribute to the Eurovision contest.
For those in and out of Europe. You can watch their performance at the Eurovision here... (
