yeesh, hope not. It's working for some people certainly, cos people have said on here that they've finished it and I've completed it many times in testing. I only had the problem of the last objective not checking off once, and that was on a plain fresh install of thief 2, which is why I thought it might be to do with the scripts I've got installed...

Having scripts installed in your Thief directory doesn't do anything to your mission. Unless you explicitly load the script module into your mission and then explicitly use one of the custom scripts in the mission, then they are not required. This is likely just a fluky bug that shows up from time to time for some reason.

Okay, I know
in Gorlik's book he makes reference to a hidden entrance below this lower level? Where is this? And how do you get there?
Suewan:
First thing to do is solve the lava pool puzzle
Once that is done you then need to goto Goliks body. Face south and then goto the first room on your left. Use the patterns on the wall to guide you. There should be two tables in that room.
One of those tables has a zombie corpse on it. There is also a large hanging cage in that room.
In one corner of the room there is a small plaque mentioning a clue.
As well as a note mentioning something about being taunted or trickery or something like that...
Hope that helps...

Yes, I found that but
I don't understand what is meant by the wheel beyond the pool of fire...can you help me further? Please....
Yandros on 10/5/2006 at 11:45
On your way to the pool of fire from there, there is a small room with a sarcophagus in it, and above it is a passage you can mantle up to if you have a crate to help. I had to go all the way back out to the start and bring the crate outside down there to get up to it. Not sure if that was Nicked's intention or not, I probably missed an obvious crate or other item somewhere nearby.
Doh, Yandros broke it! :laff:
The "correct" way to solve the pool of fire puzzle is hinted at on the plaque over the pool of fire:
find the Shrine that is on the far west of the level on the bottom level. It's got a big Chthulu statue in it. A plaque at the base of the statue should tell you what to do. There's some fire arrows in that room if you've run out. Do what the plaque says and then go back to the pool of fire and witness some magic!
Although if you fancy lugging a crate halfway across the level, that's penance enough for side-stepping the puzzle! :cheeky:

Thank you! I don't know how on earth I missed that the first time.
By the way, you don't need a crate, you can reach that room but swimming in the underwater passageway.
Instead of a crate, a rock works well, too. There´s a trap in the "Poe-room" (the one with the big pendulum), which will give you one :p.
For the remains:
For destroying the remains, you must have found the staff before
Very good FM, i had a lot of fun exploring everything. Kudos to nicked. Very good job. :thumb:

Indeed, but of course, you need to solve the pool of fire puzzle to be able to get to the underwater passageway.
Hey, nobody gonna go
"Wow, how did you do that thing where you turned lava to water? I didn't know Dromed could do that?!?!" :laff:
