it's the same on all difficulties. The pit with the fire arrow switch is unrelated.

What a fantastic mission. Right up there with The Den, Rodamill, and Forbidden Rites, among recent entries. I'm so happy to play something that combines the best elements of the Bonehoard and the Lost City. Just over two hours, ghosting with the obvious exceptions, with only a little reloading. That's what I call immersion!
My only criticism would be that most of us playing on Expert first time through seem to be coming up a bit short on loot. I finished with ~1800 before going back in. As always
check the ceiling!!!!
Only found two secrets, however. Can we get some better directions to these? Also, I was a bit puzzled about the
two switches near the pyramid on the top level. One was beneath the rafters and one was in the back corner of a horizontal pyramid structure in the next room. They both seemed to move the floor section beneath the pyramid, which yields a bit of loot, but I believe there's something behind the wall near the horizontal pyramid, but I couldn't open it.
Thoughts?
Thanks for an excellent mission, Nicked!

ah, my mistake. :o this mission has so many places i got mixed up. :weird: but yes i had a feeling it was the pit not the shaft.

I'll see if I can't get a loot list together soon for those stuck on loot
The switches in the "underpyramid" don't have any purpose other than to reveal the silver ankh in the floor section. It's meant to be that the alcove in the wall is the same shape as the underpyramid, so even though you can't reach the big switch, you can flip the mini switch in the model room. Possibly not the greatest puzzle ever!
Secret hints:
1. Look carefully along the hallway on the way towards the room containg five levers on pedastals.
2. There's a secret in the Entrance Hall...
3. In the large chamber with ramps leading down to the lower level.
4. Have a look around in the room where you put the lever into the machine to open the doors.
The exact locations of the secrets:
1. Pull the torch lever hidden along the passage which leads to the room with five levers on pedastals. This will move a sarcophagus in the next room. Behind this is a button. Push the button to open a secret door and get some loot.
2. From the floor of the entrance hall look up in the North-east corner and rope arrow up to an alcove containing a note and a purse.
3. Rope arrow up to the beams in the large room with the ramps leading down to the lower levels. Find an opening into a vent shaft containing a grisly surprise and some loot.
4. In the room with the control panel where you insert the lever to open the way to the lower levels, look up and rope arrow above the corridor with the door in it. There is a small passage leading to the ceiling beams in the large pillar room. In the top of the pillar is a small room...
Hope that helps everyone!

Finished, only short of loot, it's a little bit tough. 4 secrets. 1965 loot.
I like haunts throwing flying swords... :thumb:
GREAT mission, Nicked.

this is probably easy, and I'm missing something obvious, but how do I activate the fire arrow near the High Priest's room?
EDIT: ok, yeah, duh... right by the pressure plate. curse you sun, for putting glare on my monitor!
great mission so far! any way to grab the right lever besides trial and error? the one where if you choose wrong, FAST MUMMIES!

Can anyone help me, I'm stuck on the
combination.
I've read Golik's notes over and over, checked out the
2 maps infront of a light.
I can see the numbers and have done so many different combinations, I would appreciate a better clue. Thanks
Never mind, I finally figured it out. D'oh, I can't believe how I over looked what was said in the book.

FAST MUMMIES!no, i deliberately left out any hints so everyone would have to do the evil maze. :laff:

ok, got everything checked off - including 4/4 secrets, with only a tiny bit of help! When I checked my stats, though, I was about 1000 short of the total  how did that happen? could it be because I never even found the many-levered-door puzzle Yandros was obsessing over?
anyway, fantastic mission! I love ancient Egyptian stuff, and this was too cool! the custom textures really helped make it real, and the objects (new (awesome) levers!) were quite wonderful - hope to see them in more missions soon!
...oh, and where is that many-levered-door puzzle, BTW?

The door/lever puzzle is at the top of the smaller ramp linking the lower and upper levels - on the far east side of the map ;)
