I don't recall if you start off the mission with any moss arrows but you might try one of those for the light switch since they work for that and make no noise.
*goes back to viciously blackjacking guards*

Finished it! Finally!:o Nice work, Jericho. I'm afraid I went Postal a couple of times, dropping unconscious Hammers into the convienient water pools, due to my pathetic switch-finding ability and poor tolerance for frustration. I swear I must have looked right at
the switch for the crypt key
half a dozen times before I finally spotted it. The only thing that was wrong with the mission was the firearrows thing. They never exploded. A peek in Dromed revealed that you had used actual firearrows instead of firecrystals. I believe (I'm no expert, mind you) that is a no-no. But no biggie.
I destroyed the patrolling zombie with Holy H2O, and I got lucky and killed both of the zombie chillins with a single mine.
Thanks for the mission!:thumb:

Zombie children:
I killed the zombie children with 1 arrow each since they seemed to act more like ape-men than zombies.
Secret door switch:
However, I'm having a hard time getting back across the lava. I see a secret door at the end of the tunnel behind me but I can't find a switch anywhere. Is that a way to avoid the pit of lava? Where is the switch?
Oneiroscope on 31/10/2003 at 22:56
The switch is in one of the rooms in the basement, look down and to your left.
I had trouble finding that one, too. Until somebody here posted a hint.
How the blue bloody blazes did you cross the lava? I tried everything I could think of, but kept hitting that dang arch and taking a very hot bath! And I never thought of just ventilating the Zombie kids. I just assumed they were some kind of zombie-on-steroids when Holy Water Arrows did nuffin.
RE: The Zombie Guttersnipes
Hey! Turns out you can even blackjack them! Appearances can be decieving, I guess. And here I was all freaking out and thinking they were so tough. Sheesh!
I'm all embarrassed now.:o

Thanks, I'll keep looking, after I get this Gentoo compiled.

I tried that too with the Speedpotion but failed miserably! :eww:

thank you jericho, i didnt see that other post about the crypt key.
Also thanks for this cool mission! what you call a small mission took me over an hour to complete lol
found all the secrets tho, 8 on my own :)
i have a couple questions for you as well:
In your mission info, you said this was a prelude to a Lord Azaghal series (i hope i spelled that name right), is this the same Aza that he and his brother were taken underwing by Gerrard?
and also, you used Mech high priests, in place of regular Hammer high priests, is this b/c you just wanted the priests to look completely different, or is it something else in a future storyline?
thanks again Jericho, i enjoyed this mission immensley :)

I'm glad you enjoy this FM.
Sarik:
The priest in the "window entry room" IS ghostable. I tried that many times and so did my beta-testers. Once you are on the window-sill, gently jump down, then get down and get as close to the opposite bed as possible. Next, move on very slowly and hit the light switch. The priest can see you but only a few steps after you reach the light switch. I didn't say this was easy, but it's possible. You need to be very careful here. Well... BJing him is an option, but this is no ghosting...
About zombie children:
Yes, they are actually semi-zombies and that was intentional. You can BJ them or kill with conventional weapons as well. They are much faster and more aggressive then a standard zombie. As I say - that was intentional.
Fire arrows:
I didn't have problem with using fire arrows and that was not reported by beta-testers. Hmmm, but you say they don't work for you. Well, I need to keep that in mind for the future or perhaps I fix that and release version 2. Still, fortunately it's not a major issue, since
firearrows do not work with the zombie in the tunnel.
Priests in the mission:
I didn't want to use too much of the custom stuff in this FM, so I used T2 skin for Hammer priests. It's nothing conneted to the future storyline, they should be Hammer priests. ;)
ShadowWolf421:
I'm glad you enjoyed this FM. I don't want to reveal too much of the storyline, but definiately I'm planning a sequel. My storyline so far is for 1 other 'prelude' sequel mission, which will take place in a totally different environment compared to Gerrard's Temple and with completely different characters (sort of another introduction of new characters). Then 3 main missions, where the actual storyline will be developed. We will see if I am able to make these plans become real missions. Yes, a young man called Aza from Gerrard's Temple is Lord Azaghal in the future series (if I ever release them). I can't reveal anything more now.
Either way, Gerrard's Temple was a great learning experience for me. I hope I will improve things in the next FM. And I'm glad most people enjoy playing it. :thumb:
