I had the same problem with fire arrows not detonating. Good mission overall.
Am i to understand your next mission will be where we explore the place that was sealed up?
doesn't work. :wot:
I dropped down into the room behind the tower door and cannot open the next door I found. Is that the crypt door?
Very enjoyable little FM. I've satisfied all the objectives except the loot. I'm ghosting, by the way -- this is one reason I have a problem.
I can't get the red gem next to the spider in the basement because I always alert the spider. If there is an invisibility potion somewhere, I sure haven't found it. So that's off.
I can only get one of the gold candle holders in the dining room; I can't get the other or the vase at the other end; that's another 100 loot off my plate.
At the moment, I have exactly 3999; I need 501 loot to be able to finish... but there is only 701 left in the mission, of which about 150 is unattainable, unless I'm missing something really obvious.
There appears to be a secret panel in the floor of the library, but I don't know how to open it. I don't mean the one next to the Mechanist mage that's opened by frobbing a book; there seems to be some sort of panel in the floor to the left of the white table in the library. I'm still missing two secrets, so either that's one of them or it's just a trick of the light.
You mentioned a lever in the stairwell; since there are three of them, can you be a little more specific?
I think you cut it a little fine with the loot: 4500 required, but only 4700 in the mission. Knocking off the jewel downstairs and the stuff I can't get in the dining room, I practically have to get "Perfect Thief" on the rest of the stuff just to finish the mission!
EDIT: All right, I found the secret in one of the stairwells, among the bushes at the bottom. So now I'm up to 4199... but that's still 301 short. Suggestions?
Yeesh.

shadows:
The answer to your question is: no, it won't take place there. But I really don't want to reveal the storyline and the location of the next mission. I hope to be done with it in a reasonable time, so you will see. I hope you will enjoy this next mission.
bobbler:
No, this is a secret panel. There is a switch, which opens it. Look in the nearby area for that switch.
Red gem:
Yes, the spider next to the gem is very sensible. I managed to ghost this place after the third attempt. My beta-testers used moss arrows. I think it's best to run/creep into the tunnel, then bend to the side and snatch the stone.
Dining room:
That's another place, which is difficult (yet possible) to be ghosted. The hammer guard is likely to see you. Try putting oiff some of the torches first. You can put the candles off as well and even the fireplace in the kitchen, if you have to (although I believe it is not necessary).
Library:
There is no more secret panels except the one with the book, which you have found.
I should have the loot list ready very soon, today. If someone is really impatient, please email me, so I will email you back with a text version of the loot list.

By the way, I emailed thief-thecircle, but so far there is no response. Is there a chance to have this FM posted also at the circle site? If so whom shall I email?

Very nice "small" mission :D
Of course, I was foolish enough to kill Willy before I knew who he really was :o
Unfortunately, I've encountered the diary bug, as well.
A search in the Editors' Guild revealed that I had an old gen.osm, dated at 10.03.2000 (that's 10th March). For all those who've encountered problems, make sure you've patched your Thief 2 installation, and check that your script.osm as well as gen.osm in the T2 directory are dated 27.03.2000 (or newer, if you've got Gaylesaver's custom scripts installed).
[TECHNOBABBLE]With the older versions, TrapTimedRelay doesn't work, that's why the diary objective doesn't tick off.[/TECHNOBABBLE]

Eshaktaar - Thanks for playing the FM and also thanks for pointing out what was the problem with the weired objective, which didn't tick off. In a way, I am relieved. So it's not a bug... It happened with one of the beta-testers and I had no idea what was causing this problem!

I have sent the loot list to Jason in HTML format, so once Jason posts it, you taffers will have an access to it.
Again, thanks to Jason for hosting all the files.

This mission is very nice (although I don't like how some of what should be secrets are actually important to finishing the mission, its quite annoying, especially for one such as me who has bad observation skills for the hidden lever).
I just discovered something quite wierd. Go into Gerrads bedroom and crouch down behind the chair and look towards the desk. Very strange, but I suppose that it happens with all placements of the that object, I've just never really noticed it before.
