If you mean the balcony with the sleeping guy, you are not supposed to get up there. There is some loot that you can reach from the ledge below.

Tannar: yes, I mean it. And I know that I'm not supposed to get there but Phantom wrote "I spend too much time figuring out how to get onto that balcony" and I wonder if it is that balcony or not because breaking of FMs borders is my hobby... ;) :)

Aspirin - You can get up there like this: Go onto the roof with the greenhouse. Get on the ledge by the greenhouse so that you are facing the balcony. Use a speed potion and run and jump over the fence onto the balcony. :cheeky: The only problem is that I have never found a way down from there without taking serious damage or dying! :tsktsk: Good luck!

And for you serious ghosters, there is another way back that does not require potions.
If you are on the balcony under the broken window, stand with your back to the wall and look to your left and down. You will see a sloping ledge. You can jump into that and slide down with no damage. Then a simple crouch jump will get you back to the streets with no damage. Climb fence, shoot rope arrow to wooden ledge on opposite building and jump to rope. It' a little bit tricky (climbing fence and positioning of rope arrow you are able to reach rope...) but could be done.

One of my game rules is to avoid using any consumerables if possible when playing Thief.
Also what if the player needs to return to town more then twice? ;) But saying that you can get back to the main part of town without using any potions.
A third method to return to town, involves using the
tunnel on the balcony below the broken window.

Before i caught the bastard, i played over a half of the mission. Very impressive! I like it (although i'm pretty inexpierienced in FMs)! I plan on finding about 3500 loot :> Found 3 secrets already. I didn't expect such a big map, ha. But the bigger - the better. And also i liked the non-linearity. I robbed all houses from top to bottom xD Now i'm waiting for the long virus scan to finish and hopefully able to play atleast tommorow.
Oh and i also think there are too many unaccesable doors. The ones you had to take effort getting to, should be accesable.
