I'm playing this glorious mission on expert since 6 days (15 h real play time), got 13 secrets, enough loot, pirate treasure, three of four gems, but it is not possible to execute the ritual because I'm missing item 1 - taken from the target. I know it is in the lower prison where I have to free it, but I could' find it. Therefore I restart the mission, free the three ghosts / guards again and see now the object falling in the lava and hear bad laughter. Please don't say that all my 15 hours playtime are lost if the object falls in the lava :ebil:

Having it fall into the lava is not the end (it wouldn't be laughing if it were) - it's actually just the beginning.

I'm sort of wandering around aimlessly at the moment.

I have
got to the second Island.
found what presumably are the caves and the wall buttons
made and drunk holy blood
found 2 stones
but I'm not sure what to do or where to go.

Reading the other posts, I have
not seen any dewdrops
not seen any x's
not found a treasure map
not seen any pirate caves
seen anything about the symbols that appear in the caves

And how do I get back to the first island?

I would appreciate a couple of hints on what to do. Thanks.

Two things to start with: Explore the dark basements. Go deeper. Once you do, I think you will find something of interest.

There are multiple ways, of which one should be pretty obvious, but you will have to do one thing before it works.

The symbols in the caves are of two types: active and passive. One type is functional, the other informative.

I am now in the lower levels of the prison.

I have found a room with red smoke but not much else while dodging the haunts.:confused:
