I've already worked out the whole storyline of the sequel. Now we just need someone to make it... (don't look at me, I have too many in the works already!)

I'm playing on Expert. (what else?)
I shot an arrow up at it and I got a "secret found." Is this where I have to climb up?

I also turned off the security in two places, but the cameras are still running. Is there another place to turn them off?
:)
For the first question:
Yes, that is where you would climb up. You have to shoot the rope arrow at the ceiling (not the panel), climb up, frob the panel then go into the attic. It usually took me 2 rope arrows to do it.
For the second:
On expert, the upstairs cameras are controlled by a switchbox on the top floor in the SW corner. The metal door leading to the switch box is right across from the huge bathroom area, right by a set of stairs heading down. You will need both the Security and Housekeeping keys to get to the switchbox.
Hope you all are having fun ! :D

Played through once on Normal, now I'm trying Expert. It's great how enough is changed between the difficulty levels to make replaying fun. :D
Only problem is somehow I seem to be alerting everyone now. Even if I just stay put in the shadows, one of the guards goes "Ah!" and the objective fails. Maybe I left a knocked out body somewhere I shouldn't have? :o I'm so untidy sometimes. Guess I'll have to backtrack a bit and see.
I'm near the chapel area. I rope arrowed down, knocked out the patrolling guard, looted the hall and the chapel, knocked out the archer who came through the metal door in the area below the barracks. The archer saw me just before I KO'd him, but no objective failure. I hid both bodies in a deep shadow near the hall where I roped down. But now , no matter what, the objective fails after about a minute, after a guard somewhere screams in suprise.
I'm going to hazard the guess
the bodies weren't hidden well enough OR a servant saw you and ran off to alert the guards. I always knew exactly when one of those tattle-tale servants informed the guards from the 'objective failed' notice :laff:
Thank you!! :D

I figured it out:
It was the archer. I went back to before I KO'd him and did it again without alerting him. Since then, I've played about 20 minutes with no problem. I guess somehow he telepathically alerted another guard while unconscious... or something.
:laff:

Wow! That was a lot of fun! One of the best missions I've played in a while, in fact. Went back and played it on Expert after Normal and it was like a whole new mission! Saw a lot I didn't see the first time. Anything I can play twice in a row has to be doing something right! :thumb:
I loved the story details, though I wish there had been more of a resolution. Like maybe a movie at the end where we see justice done or something. Anyway, I guess that just leaves room for a sequel! ;)
The details were really satisfying.
The room with the recordings was GREAT! :laff:
I loved some of the new conversations, too.
The "meteorology" one was classic.
EDIT: Gahhh! Just tried loading up the mission in Dromed. First, I got a "too many brushes" error, I clicked "cancel", it loaded, I entered game mode. For a while the mission ran okay, except I had no lockpicks. I started near the front of the building, which I hadn't seen before since I played on Normal and Expert only. Then the second time I tried to pick up a moss arrow in the greenhouse, the screen froze.
I tried hitting Alt+E, nothing doing. I tried hitting the "Windows" key, nada. I tried Alt+Ctrl+Del, bupkis. Then I tried resetting my computer with the handy reset/power button. Nothing. I ended up having to unplug my computer! Just a friendly warning. Any idea what went wrong? Was Dromed trying to draw all three difficulties at once or something?

Glad you enjoyed it :D That is what fm's are for :)

Just a note to Dromeders:
This mission actually exceeds the brush limit by a considerable amount (don't ask me how AsyluM got away with that). You'll get an error trying to open it - just Cancel and it will still open. Also, be advised that the mission is sometimes unstable (read: crashes often) if you don't
process_difficulty. Exceeding the limit also means you can't portalize or optimize the mission (according to AsyluM... I never actually tried).
Actually, it would just randomly crash to desktop from Dromed on me, too. :(
Making sure all the "extra" programs were turned off (McAfee, etc) would help some, but still it would crash sooner or later.

Wish I'd seen that!
:erg:
Actually, I probably did and just forgot about it. :o

This is a fantastic mission, Yandros! Playing on middle difficulty. I've got all my loot, but
been everywhere except Lord Geller's bedroom - can't find mech keys or safe where the other one is supposed to be. Any hints?
Thanks in advance!
