In my quest to play every FM that I can (and despite Thief 3's official release tomorrow! (Hey Ion, give us an SDK and I'll play your new game. ;) Never miss an opportunity to whine about the SDK, folks)) I just finished 'Hidden Agenda' last night.
I can firmly say this mission was excellent and has a place among my absolute favorites, despite it's "low" 9 rating. The author clearly has a solid understanding of Thief gameplay, and I'd go so far as to say this mission is on par with the OMs, both in terms of quality AND overall feel. I believe if this mission was included in T2's original release, not only would it have fit right in, but it would have been among the best in the selection. It is challenging without being a burdensome chore, and supports many different styles of gameplay. Fact is, often FMs are not well balanced, and I'd rather just take a guard out, to get him out of my way. This is not the case with 'Hidden Agenda.' I found myself purposely leaving guards in my way, and sneaking past them several times (the bot and floor guard in the big chapel come to mind :)), just for the fun and challenge of it. If that doesn't scream out well balanced and designed gameplay, I don't know what does.
Kudos, AsyluM, and thanks for a great mission in 'Hidden Agenda.'

Heh, for a moment I though Asylum got amnesia or something.
It is the best Mechanist mission I've ever played, T2 OM included. I really hope for a sequel featuring Hammerrite vs. Mechanists showdown.

You read my frickin' mind. I HATE Mechanists. But slaughtering them, that's something I can get into. And this mission is way, way more fun than ANY T2 OM, that's for sure. It rocks.

Can anyone tell me how to get into the crypt area? I've looked all over. Thanks.

There's a door on the first floor of the warehouse area (below the plans room) which opens with a gear. I think the key for it is in a footlocker in one of the guards' rooms.

Excuse me Nightwalker, but I don't succeed to operating the mechanism that activates the elevator to go down in the vault. I have tried with the priest key, with the acolyte key, with the security key and with the silver gear, but nobody of this objects decontrols that mechanism. I have turned the whole location but I have not found other objects or keys to operate the elevator.
I have read many posts on the matter, but I have not succeeded in finding nothing to the respect.
I am playing to the level hard.
Thanks.
:)
P.S.
I apologize for bad english... I use a program of translation.

I am sorry I did not see this before but I've been away. However, I am not sure exactly what your problem is. Do you mean the elevator that is INSIDE the vault or the one to get down to the vault level?

Hi Nightwalker, first of all many thanks for yr answer and..don't worry, the most important thing is our private life...games are last...
;)
The elevator I am speaking of is the one at the lower floor of the workshop, at FM beginning, where the small bot is going back and forth , and the crates piles where you can find some objects inside.
I've checked even behind the crates, but there is no door.
I'm not sure the elevator is the right entry to go down in the vault, but I did not find any other entries...
thanks again for yr help
:)

Perhaps you have missed the
lowest level? Take the elevator in the room patrolled by the little robot down one level, then look at the control panel and you'll see a button that will take you to another, lower level. Down here, there is a lever on a panel that you have to flip. It opens the doors to the room where you use the silver gear to get into the vault.
If that is still not where you are stuck, could you take a screenshot of exactly which door you cannot get open and send it to me? I should be able to tell from that exactly where you are.

My problem is exactly this, friend! ;)
I cannot activate this elevator, because its buttons are not functioning. Beside the buttons there is a yellow mechanism, equipped by a lever and two gears which are blocking the buttons.
I cannot move it by the keys I got: priest key, acolyte key, security key.
How should I do?
Thanks
:)
