If you're playing on Hard, you must have been into the underground area to get the Silver gear and the Priest's key. I thought the only way down there was on that elevator?? Anyway, if the elevator you are speaking of is the one in the room patrolled by the little robot, then you need a metallic gear. It is found
in a guard dormitory that is at the end of a hallway on the same level as the big vault door. It's just past a dining room. You'll find the gear in one of the wooden footlockers.
We'll keep trying until I get it right! :cheeky:

I've already been in that room but - I don't kow why ..-
I couldn't open the two wooden footlockers. Now I returned there and I succeeded !
I've found the metallic gear and finally actioned the elevator.
Thanks a lot Nightwalker, you've been so kind!
:)

Well at least I finally got it right! :) I'm curious how you got the Silver gear and the Priests key before activating the elevator though. Is there another way into the underground section that I'm not aware of?
Angelot on 16/6/2004 at 04:07
Yes, thanks to your suggestions I succeeded in actioning the elevator and go down in the vault, and yesterday evening I finished my mission.
I've got the silver gear from the mage who was wandering in the library, and I've found the priest key in a bedroom, but I don't remember it very well.
I am not sure how I missed the entry to the sewers. I do have questions about three doors, also.
1- I did the vault, and also got the plans. I can do the tower anytime. If I missed the entry to the sewers (I have the Sewerman's key), where did I pass it up? *Edit - I found the sewers*
2-
In the caves, near the jail and near a few bedrooms, is a door that does not open. It has a handle, and lights up, so it can be moved by a player. When I click it, it just moves an inch, or just makes a sound like it is moving, so it seems blocked. Is this anything?
3- *2nd Edit - 'I wouldst hammer in the morning, I wouldst hammer in the evening, I wouldst ...' :joke: :laff: Found it!
In the Mechanist building, just after you go thru the temple that the female archer paths around, if you go right and down a few steps, there is a door with a guard in it, and the lights are out. The next door past that is an iron door, with no handle, and I can't find a lever/switch/button to work it. Past that is a kitchen. How can I open the door?
4-
In the catacombs, in the deepest room where the ancient hammer is, there is a door that is blocked by some rocks from the undermining (I think is why). Next to the door is a big crack that shows a stoneworked floor on the other side. Is there a way to get there?
Hints are preferred. :D
Thanks!

Hello!
I'm stumped, despite spoilers already describing the help I need :P Playing on Expert:
I'm trying to find the "rusty key" so I can get the hammer. I've completed all objectives except the loot (I'm still about 300 short) and the optional find the hammer one. The forums say that there's an "attic" room with a chest above one of the rooms that overlook the mining area underground, but for the life of me I can't find any such area! I've looked in the offices off the hallway where the helmet-head guard patrols, and in the "living quarters"...
Thanks for the help!
Cheers,
-M
Go through the dining room and into a cave with stairs up to a viewing platform. Continue through that cave, the next room (still cave walls but tiled floor) and out onto a walkway. Turn left and walk along the hallway, up a couple of steps and straight ahead for a few steps. There's a door on your left. Climb the ladder inside that room and I think that's where you'll find the "rusty key".
I haven't played this one in quite awhile so I hope that's right!

Perfect - I'd managed to overlook that door *completely*, having turned right from the door closest to the main hallway. Wish I'd found those switches sooner :)
Thank you, Nightwalker!

...do I have to wait?
I can't download from this site........... I'm sorry to say. I know something must be wrong .......but it is as it is! I tried a lot to undo the damage ...somewhere .............
So: why not put a new FM immidiately on the TTLG downloads.
There's no problem with downloading there?!
Perhaps I should make this a new post message ??!

The thread you are replying to was started nearly three years ago. If you're still waiting for that mission then something is very wrong.
