after taking the key from the body of Hans and I leave the room of the labyrinth in one corner on the ground, found a locked box but do not have time to open because the ghost of Hans chasing me!

You will get the chance to return there later. Don't worry about it now.
And it is not Hans' ghost who is chasing you, it is Samoth.

Hi,
I seem to have a problem with additional objectives not activating. I have started the FM now twice. Had to restart because I noticed that I didnt get any additional objectived but I noticed this just because I came to this thread to see why didnt Benny came out of his office even though his you know what was on the you know what. Also when I used the wet sponge on the coal I didnt get dirty sponge.
Now during the second time I just knocked out all the guards at the starting area + all walking guards. Went in the basement, bash bash bash and read the notice about fire gem and turrets. Wasn't that supposed to active an additional objective? And isnt that the closest place from the start to get an additional objective? Getting inside the house objective does get completed.
Also is the salt supposed to go into my inventory like bellows or is it supposed to be carried to the pool like fex. a crate would be carried?
This still leaves the question of why didnt Benny do what he was supposed to do, does the objective need to be activated in order for him to carry on?

This is weird.
Salt goes into inventory. Benny should walk out the moment you put the bottle on the tray. You should get an objective about the fire gem once you read the note in the basement.Have you recently changed anything in your Thief installation? Could you try another FM and see if the new objectives appear (UVI is a good choice)? Seems like a problem with your script modules.

Hi Haplo! I am enjoying this mission as much as the previous one - which is tons! - and I'm stuck again. I managed to get thru the labyrinth (left-straight-straight-right), but I only ever found scrolls 1-4. Where is the fifth scroll? Or are there only four and the fifth one is just a deception to send you on a wild goose chase?
Also there's a lockbox behind a dresser or wardrobe in the mansion, and I can't find a key for it. It won't be lockpicked, either. Do I need to get in there, or is it just a bonus thing?
I can't get a gold door open or the barred metal one on the other side of it. I can't get past the clawed haunts in the room you climb into by ladder over a lava pit. If I shoot a rope arrow into the wooden beams, I can't get anywhere once I climb up. There's a window there but it only leads back to the original room with the pool and obelisk, and I can jump onto it from the rope, but not through it.
I also can't find The Blade, The Plant, and I can't figure out how to keep the special water in the canteen from turning back into regular water once I dive back into the pool.
And finally, I've tried piling everything under the sun, but can't get thru the window into the mansion room with all those looty plates in it - the one where you can see the key on the floor.
Hints for me. please? I started to search for answers in this thread, but began finding spoilers about things I still want to be a surprise later on.

You can't
get through the Labyrinth before having all the five scrolls. The fifth scroll indeed exists, it is in a huge room under water. Go back to the pool in the front of the entrance of the Den and go for a swim.You have
to go through the labyrinth first, find something, then use it to get the key to the lockbox behind the dresser.You'll get passed the minions, get into the small window and solve the water puzzle later.

Tried UVI and got the additional objectives from the corpses book near the start.
Tried IC after that and ran to the
fire gem notice in the guard quaters and still no additional objective.
I havent made any changes in ages, thief 1.18 final with ddfix and widescreen mod. I'm using GarrettLoader 1.42 and tried also DarkLoader 4.3 which ran the FM the same way as GarrettLoader ie. no additional objectives.
Can I update my script modules or are they in the FM zip package?
This is certainly weird situation, I've played well over 30 FMs on this Thief 2 installation and this hasnt happened before.
