T2 FM: Insanity's Crescendo (6 May 2010) - Updated to v1.2, 22 Aug 2010 - by Haplo

Okay I found out what the missing loot was...one of the people in the bar had a goblet in her hands. Unfortunately, after knocking her out, the goblet disappears from her hands.
I did finally find the location it jumps/returns to. Fortunately, it is in an accessible location: at chest height next to the wall near the bar counter.
All complete.

I have just updated the mission to v1.2. This updated contains many architectural and game play tweaks. The core game play stays the same, but some glitches have been fixed and a couple of puzzles and secrets have been improved.

Since you updated the mission, I thought I'd have another go at it and tell what I thought about the new edition.
# I ran into some strange problems right at the start. One of the guards made the "What the hell?" remark as if he'd seen/heard something odd while on his patrol route, but I was crouching in the corner doing nothing at all. Later I found that the guards carrying the lanterns seemed to have grown eyes in the back of their heads. Nothing major, as they all went down eventually.
# Are those fountains in the main foyer of the mansion a new addition? I can't remember, but they do help fill up/justify the huge open indoor space.
# I still think that there are too many guards in the mission (on hardest) but at least this time I could deal with them in groups without raising the alarm. Not that it was easy...
# The only architectural change I could see that was not solely for aesthetic purposes involved the double doors on the left as soon as you enter the Warlock's Den. You cleaned up the area above those doors, cutting down on potential confusion when dealing with what's beyond those double doors.
# While we're talking about those double doors, the whole segment beyond them has been upped in difficulty. You now need to use the "gizmo" more to complete it, and at one point place yourself in some real danger. Not a real problem for me, but I can't speak for anyone else.
# The only other change I noticed in the mission was the removal of a button needed to access one of the secrets. The "new" solution fortunately is not too hard to figure out.
The previous version I rated with "a high seven". This version I'll give a straight eight. Despite the increased difficulty, it's an improvement.
I'll end this by repeating the question I asked earlier: What is the music being played in the blue cylinder room?

There are many more tweaks, some are not noticeable. In addition to the ones you have mentioned, there were:
1- Texture alignments,
2- Addition of carpets to a few places,
3- Addition of some objects,
4- You won't have to lean to pick up the key from the safe anymore (some players had problem with this, as it turned out not everyone knows you could lean),
5- The unintended entrance to the easter egg area is removed,
6- The puzzle with the magic potion is tighter,
7- Added a warning text about the active turrets,
8- Added a test to warn the players if the scripts malfunction,
9- And many more that I can't remember.
Now about your comments:
- The guys with dynamics light have always been a bit tricky, at least for me. Sometimes they are hypersensitive.
- About the number of guards: I thought the lord would take some precautionary measures in case Garrett comes for revenge.
- You need the gizmo to start the final fight, that is the way I had originally intended it. The simpler method of the previous version was an oversight.
- The music you are interested in is from Dark Mod ambient tracks. I can't remember its exact name, but I could check it for you.

Haplo,
I played this one yesterday and enjoyed it a lot. I did have to resort to the walkthrough a couple of times because some of the loot and objectives were just too well hidden for me. I would have never thought that a possible path I could throw the transporter ring would be behind a small alcove for a jewel box. I also had some trouble throwing the ring around. It was hard for me to get it up and over things. I had to try about 10X to get it on the outcrop so I could push the button to summon the other demon. Lucky for me, I save my health potions for events just like this :)
Something I have noticed about your missions... your undead/ghoul/haunt/general nasty guys are pretty easy to kill and not super speed. I thank you for that. Even though a lot of your missions are really creapy, I know I have the skill to take out the bad guys if I just stay hidden. This is something I cannot say for some other FMs out there that if the guy sees you, you are dead within a second or two. Thanks :thumb:

Really brilliant mission!
Finished with: 16996 loot,
5 secrets (in the library, water tunnel, box under grates above water, yellow door and one more i cant remember
2 optional
3 bonuses (sore heads, heart of gold, too rich)
Any hints to missing secrets, bonuses and hard loot?

I guess it has been to long since I played a mission. I have the dirty sponge, the water flask, the bellows, the double door open, and am still stuck in the mansion. I have not found anything to use any of the items on, cannot open the door that has the key in it on the floor. Any outright spoiler would be great please.

Hint 1:
Think the servant.Hint 2:
How can you find out what safe buttons the servant pushes?Hint 3:
Maybe if you got his hands dirty?Hint 4:
He is going to touch the book on the desk before opening the safe.

Haplo, thanks for the hints, but they do not help me in the least. The double door is still inaccessable, do not know where I am supposed to put the salt to shut down the power
