I gotta say I stopped playing this after 2 minutes, didn´t even bother to get into the mansion. Guards with eyes behind their backs are annoying and damn unrealistic. I wonder why you´d purposely do sth. like that:sweat:
It's not quite as bad as that. Tricky but not impossible. You have to come up directly behind some of the patrollers from a position of complete shadow. I have played this one several times. It's a great mission (it's from Haplo!) and is most definitely worth another look.

Hmm okay if you guys say it´s only like that outside of the mansion then I´ll give it another try. It´s true that the guards outside are still easy to knockout, but I was in the believe it will be like that in the mansion as well and that would have been too annoying for me:angel: Thank you! :)

the code for the safe 6731 doesn't work ??????? Yes, that's the correct code, but if I remember correctly it only works after you have solved the "dirty buttons" puzzle with the coal and the butler. Done it?

I started playing this and right after getting inside the mansion through the basement there is a readable that says "If you can read this it means your Nvscript isn't working correctly and you will not be able to continue the mission from this point forward, ask for help on the TTLG Forums" ... HELP, me want play Thiefy mission...

You had the same issues with the previous mission if I read it correctly. Just copy your nvscript from main directory to fan mission directory. It should work then. Hope this helps.

I tried this and sadly it didn't work; bummer, this looked like a fun mission

Thanks for the suggestion...I tried to copy all the script files into the FM folder and start a new game to be sure, but it's still the same thing. I'm running Thief 2 in Wineskin on a Mac, so I honestly don't know what version of Windows it's even emulating, but I've never had a single OS-related compatibility problem in the 50+ FMs I've played through so far; odd that the issue seems similar to the one I had in the previous mission in this campaign by the same author, as Stingm pointed out, it does make me suspect it's more to do with something weird about the FM files than my system :(
Maybe I should try to actually play through the mission and see at what point things break out of curiosity, I did not try continuing yet after seeing that message.

Look for the folder in your main thief 2 directory that has the scripts and copy them there too. I had the issue and scripts had to be in both places. Hope this helps.
