A very impressive first mission effort. Great visuals, especially in the sunken city part, which was an interesting variation of the "Lost City" missions in the original games. But the mansion was well done as well, especially this "weird fountain" part. Good story partially told in readables in the game itself. And no glitches or other problems appeared. The best part, however, was the bestiary: A truly creepy group of undead and other beings. I found the "skull spiders" and the strange spider-ish skeleton the most horrible ones - the first ones had extremely eerie howling sounds, while the latter would have been funny if it hadn't been that fast. Luckily, I thought about jumping onto the sarcophagus in time...
Well then, FrenchDecay, I'll be looking forward to any other mission you might give us in the future!:thumb: Especially since I like "Bonehoard" and "Return to the Cathedral"...

Thank to both of you, and thanks for playing! I'll do my best to make my 2nd FM enjoyable; it's almost finished at this point, I'm just refining it over and over, and I need to write dialogues and find voice actors... again eheh :cheeky:
About that second skeleton-dude, I recently realized how silly it looks, kind of like a motorcycle without the wheels! Hopefully the second FM will be a better freak show, who knows

That second skeleton may look silly, but somehow that adds to the horror it installs in me when I've got it on my tails. I think you should not change its appearance. It's as unnerving as a mass-murdering baby would probably be.

great mission!
the mansion was well-done, the lost city was fun (and tense) to explore, and I enjoyed the new monsters as well! very good use of verticality; I would think I was stuck, then realize there was a window or something above me to reach for a new area or loot.
I look forward to more from you :thumb:
I had some trouble getting out of the lava area (back to the basement); I think those edges needed work, because I kept getting stuck or falling off.

Thanks a bunch, I've tried to improve my brushwork since this release, I think it's getting better. Now, you probably came from there but I released my second FM in April the 1st this year, let me just drop the link in case you happened to play Iron Heart just now out of sheer luck

After finishing your sequel "Breathing Corpses" I decided to play this FM. It turned out that it was a very good decision. I finished with 7563/8028, the FM had given me a very good gameplay and has an amazing Lost City - themed setting. These invincible iron guards (OK, the swordsmen and one bowman are vulnerable to sword strikes) forced me to ghost a little bit, but it was on a fair difficulty. I also liked the custom zombies, especially the three-headed guy or the fire zombies, who were nearly invisible in lava :ebil:. The weird skeleton which had a spider AI gave me a good laugh.
Overall it was another awesome FM. Thanks!
I have one last question:
I found a combination lock in dark room (Easter Egg). As I had read already in this thread, the combination should be in an FM-trailer.
I must be blind (or very confused at least :weird: ), I can´t find the said trailer. The FM starts without an intro movie and I searched on YouTube for a trailer of this FM, but I didn´t find anything.

Here is the link to the trailer, it's more a preview than anything else : (

Here is the combination in case you really can't see it
3008Looking back now, I probably should have done a bit more for the easter egg area, it feels a bit empty
