Well, Tannar's explanation is as clear as can be, looking back I should have put some sort of "ticking" sound maybe. I hope you've done some hard saves, otherwise I'm afraid there's no safe way back. Sorry

Also, I think no one has mentioned it yet, but you can make this jumping puzzle way easier by jumping and leaning forward at the same time, you won't get hurt by the missiles that way.

All right, I'm kind of stumped here. I must kill Eeofol's kin; judging from E's image, I assume those are the lava guys who explode when you kill them, like zombies.

That's the problem: Whenever I kill one of E's brothers, I take damage; but I have only one healing potion. Unless there's a big cache somewhere, I'll just run out of hit points and die. (There's a lot of them!) I'm attacking from directly behind; but some of them have gas attacks when killed.

Am I doing something wrong? This seems unlikely to succeed.

It's not the lava zombies.

There's an area with lots of lava and a couple of sunken buildings, with one of the lava zombies walking through the lava. Explore around that area and you'll eventually find Eofol's brothers. You'll know 'em when you see 'em - they're ah, different.

I don't have the mission in front of me, but as you come down the tunnel from the house's basement and head left, then straight ahead to the ruins, when you come into the room with a parchment on a table on the left that talks about the fall of the city, the lava-sunken-buildings-zombie-place is just through the doorway next to it. Hope that's not too confusing!

Two other things that will help you:

1. When you leave Eeofol's audience chamber, the hall where he talked to you, there will be a metal door to your left. Outside that metal door is a small alcove with some lava at the bottom. Look above the opening across the lava and you will see a small button. Shoot it and a nearby room will open which has a small pool of water in it. That is healing water and it will restore all your health each time you get in it. So you can use it as much as you need to.

2. You can easily kill the fire zombies without taking damage if you make sure they are not alerted at all. Just hide in the dark and time your attack so they don't see or hear you. One sword swipe will then kill them. Just get close enough to reach them with the sword, but not any closer, and you won't take damage.

If this was an answer to my question: I already found the basement key and am in the basement but how do I open the grey metal door at the end of the basement?
In the office is a red book which I cant frob.... "BUG-report":don't know if it's supposed to be like that ( is the red book readable?) but I have some issues all in all with frobbing some things, the security system switch for example I had to get really close, with leaning forward in a specific angle to activate it.

EDIT: somehow it opened....don't know what I did but suddenly it's open :)

Also, about your bug report The red book in Stalkreath's office is just a prop and the control panels/plaques (as well as the golden candlestick in the library have a reduced frob distance on purpose, it used to be harder to frob them with the normal properties. So everything is quite normal :cheeky:
