Thanks guys, I'm glad the map and especially the underground part was well received! I really love when Thief is just like a big open world so it was kind of my objective when making this FM :)
Also, I have to be a taffer too then, it really surprised me that Thief platforming is infamous. I can understand why, but I had a ton of fun jumping around in Life of the Party and Lost City so I had to copy that.
I'm already quite ahead with my next FM, though I'll try something a bit different so no platforming I guess!

Need help.... OK This is my second time through....I forgot where the HEART is?? can anyone p[oint me in the right direction?
FrenchDecay on 16/7/2016 at 08:02
The Iron Heart is in the underground part, inside the "main" building behind the iron door you can use your lock picks on, and then it's past a door you cannot frob immediately on your right
You can only get into the room the Heart is in by dropping in from the upper part of the building, so check out the ceiling in every room past the locked iron door

OK Thanks. I need to find two more things before I am done....The lucky coin....and the sky gemstone. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
FrenchDecay on 16/7/2016 at 20:37
You'll find these two in the mansion part, both can be found in the first floor of the mansion
Both of them require some mechanical action

Care to be a little more specific please?I know the lucky coin is in the pool of water under a grate....though I do not remember what I did to open the small grate. I found the sky gemstone.....The sky gemstone is behind the 3 large statues. You have to go underneath the staircase near the 3 statues and into a GREEN ROOM. There is a chair there and BEHIND the chair, is a lever....this not only moves a picture, but removes the middle statue so you can rope arrow up to it. The sky gem is in the chest up in that room. I STILL do not know what I did to open the small grate in the pool containing the lucky coins though? It was closed before?

Well, this is complete spoiler territory then :P it's one of the control panels in the small maintenance room on the first floor, the door right in front of the library

I played this one last night. Very impressive for your first FM! And quite a well plotted surprise to find that the mission is about five times bigger than it first appears.
The mansion was my favorite part - I know that some people dislike mansion FMs because they're overdone, but for me they're still the quintessential Thief experience.
I never did figure out how to get into the windows above the courtyard area with the fountain.
A few small pieces of constructive criticism to consider for your next mission (though they're relatively minor):
* Some of the rooms in the mansion, especially in the basement, were a smidge bigger than they needed to be. It wasn't a huge deal, and it's certainly preferable to an overly-cramped mission - but you could get away with shaving about 20% off some of the larger areas.
* Some of the jumping puzzles in the underground area were pretty unforgiving, especially with lava below meaning certain death. I imagine that this is one of the hardest things to size correctly, so it's understandable - but there's no way I could've finished this one without liberal use of the quicksave and quickload keys.
Other than that, a very satisfying mission. I hope you'll make more!

Thank you very much greenie! When talking about excessively large areas, are there some in particular in your mind? I'm already working hard to make the next one even better ;)
By the way, the windows you're talking about, above the courtyard are the one in the small attic that you need to access before you can go down the basement all the way to the lost city, the two windows allow you to see the tree and then the water fountain when you trigger the event
Also sorry about the delayed response, I've been away!
