I guess I should have made it more ghostable. There is an invisibility potion in Garrett's apartment.

There
is? Jeez, how did I miss that?
All right, I'll go back and hunt for it. Thanks. (Use of invisibility is "frowned upon" but is "reluctantly allowed" while ghosting. You have to report it as a "chemical ghosting.")
And by the way, no, you shouldn't deliberately try to make missions ghostable; almost always, when some author does so, he makes the mission too easy to ghost. I wasn't asking for a redesign, just whether I had missed something important... like, say, an invisibility potion :wot:
Er... I'm wandering all around the apartment and I can't find anything; may I have a small hint, please?
Edit: Nevermind. Found it.
Closet, top shelf.Thanks,

Finished the mission; it was fun, but it's definitely not ghostable: there is enough loot locked up in those display cases -- which cannot be smashed in ghost mode -- to prevent you from meeting the loot objective.
Too bad; if only there had been some way to open the cases without breaking the glass....
Also, you cannot get into Mosely's and Truart's offices without drawing a yellow alert from the rapidly rotating watcher (just like in the first-released version of the sequel, A Love Story, though I understand John rereleased it with the watcher's "patrol" slowed down enough to give you a sporting chance).
So play for fun, but don't bother trying to ghost: not possible.
Other than that, a nice FM; I enjoyed playing it.

Yeah I changed it in 'A Love Story' but not in this FM. Being that it was released so long ago I wasn't going to change it. Anyway I wanted it to be tough. :ebil:

Hiding a switch
inside a babies crib!
What next, only shadow G can find to hide in is under a womans skirts? (hmm, might be kinda nice there! HEH! :ebil:)
Oh Boy, lantern guards just should'nt use invisibility potions. It just does'nt really work for em:

sewer entry outside baffys front door!
There's an unfrobbable steel door though. :erg:

Garrett's Shadow
You are at the right building, but you need to access it from the other side. Go back to the river and follow toward Bafford's. Then you will see the gate.
I'm not sure what happened to the lantern guard. That never happened before.

That's something I've come across once in a while after blackjacking a lantern guard. When I move his body to a place no one can see him, suddenly the lantern teleports in mid-air near the place I knocked him out. It's a weird bug, but not that annoying.
Garrett's Shadow on 24/11/2009 at 17:55
not a bad bug, just freaky! I could use a few of those floating lanterns for next Halloween! Would keep all the kids away and then I could KEEP ALL THE CANDY!!!! heh heh heh! :ebil: :cheeky:
Thanx John - heading to the water now then! :thumb:
Oh crud! No I don't think I was in right place, cuz i just now found the FRONT door and the lever for the portcullis type gate!
HAH! Found it! In the front yard of Baffy's, nowhere near that other area!
(and watched over by those bloody porcupine-ya-if-they-can archers!)
anyway up there?
nvm - no need to go up there, they were nice enuff to donate about 2 doz arrows to my personal armory, least they were til I got tired of playing Garrett the artful dodger! Then they got a mite touchy, started demanding I come back, that it was'nt over! Sheesh, some guys, just don't like losing! :sly: ;) :laff:
Okay, what police "kitchen stairs" you guys talking about? - I only see a ramp and one set of stairs that goes to the corridors from the metal "storm cellar" doors that are the way in, and there is no opening that I can see near those stairs!
There is a secret area behind a banner, but no ring there - just a flash mine and a coin! And that was at the ramp anyways - not "stairs"!

I am very confused right now.
I freed Jenivere, and I just got out by the front gate of the police station, which is where I entered via the sewers. Where the elect. eyes are at.
The objective isn't ticked off though. The only other door I know of is a main double doors that lead to the streets where the aux cell is, but if that is supposed to be the main gate why wasn't my objective ticked off then?
john9818a on 24/6/2013 at 16:48
Have you completed all of the other objectives? All of the other objectives must be completed first before this one will show as complete. :)
