Thank you for the information.
Although you don't
have to use
the Vermin Buster to disable the Hammers inside the Tomb, you probably won't be able to take them all out with just your own equipment.

I'm a tad tired but still very much wanting to play. But I think I've allowed myself to be distracted. Is there a key anywhere near Ginnie? Is Ginnie the one in the sewers with the necklace and the rubble?

Well, I can't reproduce it, but I know how to prevent it, if/when there is an update. :erm:
Perhaps I should make it clear that this pc is 'borrowed'. All I've done which is all I have ever done since Windows 98, is copy and paste my T2 folder - through XP, Vista and now Windows 7. And it's worked every time with no problems apart from needing to apply DDFix on this Windows 7. But perhaps there's some oddness associated with my method of 'installing'.
As for Ginnie,
I got the necklace and frobbed a bit of rubble, searched down through the depths - very cool that by the way - without finding anything, so obviously need to look some more. This is my most favourite type of mission. Ability to explore and do what comes naturally (!) and get new objectives as and when I achieve something or find something!! My congratulations. I'm really enjoying trying to find things for myself. As I said, I got distracted searching for a solution to my disappearing objective and read too much!!

Out of the Hammerite compound, above a double gate that does not open and leads to a staircase, there is a balcony with a woman in it. I have mantled up to the grassy patch next to it, am I supposed to be able to jump to the balcony from there or not?

No. The fence is there because the grass is slippery, and you could slip and fall, and hurt yourself. Don't want any lawsuits. :laff:

Good to know, I wasn't sure if I had to be able to make the jump in order to continue, or if I was missing something somewhere else.

Ah, So at the Tree shrubbery I found the third elevator button at last. I always saw the metal plate and thought that it has to be a door, but I never got the clue.
Yes and I also had tried to jump upon the fence at the hammerite's balcon but I had fallen at least thirty times, so I gave up.
