Some hints on the Hammer Stations. All are on
vertical surfaces in pretty much plain view, outdoors :
6 are associated with
the canal and its bridges as has been posted
3 are in other areas on the
East(Tomb) side of the canal7 are in other areas on the
West (Inn) side of the canal including High Ende
Once you have them all you will be able to receive
the Builders Blessing(s) and a "Secret Found"! As best I can tell, I have all the ones on the East and West sides of the canal. I only have
2 of the
canal/bridge stations - both of which are on bridges - one on the big bridge near the start of the mission and one on the "Hammer's bridge" between the central tomb and High street.
Are any of these underwater, or accessed from the water? To partially answer my own question,
the one by the bottom of the fishing pole is accessed from the surface of the water, so now I'm at 13/16. I now suspect I may have missed one of the "east of canal" and one of the "west of canal" because the two on either side of the canal accessed from the ground near the canal entrance I counted as east and west of the canal, respectively.- prjames

I've been at this game too long!!!! I used up my only slow fall potion to come down to the altar in the dome-thingy. There is some kind of a seal on the altar but no mallet. So, I took a dive and kept playing and all but finished the mission. Where is the mallet if not there? If its there, why can't I see it in the mad rush to get away from the guards? I have finished everything else in this game and do NOT want to reload back to where I used that potion. Someone said they had two slow fall potions. If there are two and that IS where the mallet is, can someone tell me where the potions are so I can make a second assault?

The second one is much later in the game, in the Anvil - under a bed in the novice dorm, but you'll lose a lot of health dropping down an elevator shaft if you don't use that potion right away when leaving said dorm.
In the dome thingy, look closely at each side of the tomb. On one side of the tomb, is a knob that opens one of the glass sides and allows you to get the mallet.- prjames

The Mallet is in the hands of the Unknown Hammer. You have to open the catafalque to get it.
Generally, the idea was to use the
Vermin Buster on the Hammers, but if you need to make a second attempt, you could either
check out the ruins of the Apothecaryor
climb down the chandalier cable in the Tomb, then jump the rest of the way.

Thank you Sagittal! Got it. :D

prjames, of the 6 canal-related stations I was referring to you have to be in the water for 2 of them but none are under water.
Because the 6 had been mentioned previously I continued with it but strictly 2 - not counting the Hammer Bridge one - are outside the margins of the canal by a few paces. I am not including any way up in High Ende as related to the canal.

I am laughing my self silly from running around looking for these damn Hammer Stations. It has occured to me that the reason men don't ask for directions is because people are so lousy at giving them. I may have to wait a few days for someone to post pictures or something. :)

Finally finished this one and it was 2 hours well spent! Had a great time (even if I did get a little stuck there in the middle :o) and loved the mad-dash for the docks at the end! Thanks Balboa and all who contributed! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

While I'm too lazy to do photos, I did find the last canal Station I was looking for and the last "East Side" station, so I now have 15/16 Hammer Stations.
All 16 are now in the list. You'll definitely need to use your compass with these directions, and the directions assume you've already played through most of the mission.
Hammer Stations
Canal area:
1)
North side of bridge in northeast section of map (near where you start) between "Upton" and "Easton", on center "support" of bridge (this support only supports two lights).2)
Go through the gate/arch between your boat (again, northeast section of map) and the door to "Ladywalke" tombs. This is on the wall, on the left, just the other side of this arch/gate.3)
On "Upton St." (on map), go southwest from "Tanner and Sons" unfrobbable door to just before an underpass. Go through narrow passage in grass to the left, under another underpass, to a canal view. Go around the corner to the left. It's on the wall, just above the canal (you're facing northeast).4)
Climb out of the canal in the center area (next to the towering "Tomb of the Unknown Hammer"). Go to the bridge over the canal to the northwest of the tower. It's on the left, just before the unfrobbable gate.5)
After doing #4, jump in the canal. Under the same bridge you walked on in #4, this one is on the northwest shore side on the north side of the bridge. Thanks, Poronty, for this one.
6)
Go all the way to the south end of the canal. It's in the middle of the arch above the grate blocking you from going even further down the canal. Thanks, Gloria Creep, Poronty, and Unkillable Cat, for this one.
East of canal:
1)
Ladywalke tomb area, on wall directly east of Eleanora's tomb.2)
"Park" area (southeast side of map), on wall to right of non-frobbable door to Crosstown Bonded Warehousing.3)
Start at your boat (northeast side of map). Go towards the spiral staircase you've taken many times to the Upton/Easton bridge. Instead of entering and climbing that staircase, stay outside, turn right, and hug the outside wall of this structure that contains the spiral staircase. You'll find the Station pretty much as far as you can go while hugging this wall, on a wall between 3 mushrooms in a planter and a shovel.West of canal:
1)
High St., on wall between "Knight's Repose" unfrobbable door (to the right of this door) and Granwoode.2)
Northwest side of Market Square, close to the corner, to the left of the unfrobbable door to Eversharp Blades.3)
Great Tree Shrubbery, on roof area. It's at the northeast end of the roof area (on a wall that touches the balcony at this point).4)
"High Ende" area (you reach this via the sewers later in the mission). Open the frobbable gate on the east side opposite the unfrobbable gate to Market. It's on the right side just before the canal (and the run-jump sequence you're going to take to get to Ursula's).5)
From #4, do the run/jump sequence to Ursula's. Turn around just before you jump to her fishing line rope. It's on the wall next to the canal, just north of her house.6)
From #5, go through Ursula's house and exit on the high ledge going around a building. Hug this ledge and follow it all the way to the end (it stops just before the canal). It's on the right. It's directly above #4.7)
On "Upton St." (on map), go southwest from "Tanner and Sons" unfrobbable door to just before an underpass. It's on the wall, just east of the underpass. Thanks, Bedwine, Lady Jo, and Sagittal, for this one.
By the way, just before you get the last one,
make sure you have a couple water arrows or prepare to do some sneaking. Once you have The Builder's Blessing, all 16 Hammer Stations will turn off (bummer!) and your novice hammer no longer does anything. - prjames

Prjames,
Thanks. Did you get the one on the building between tenor and sons and the bridge?
