Was I supposed to use the Vermin Buster somewhere? I found no place where it was needed.
You were supposed to
drop it down to the chamber where the mallet was. It acts kind of like a gas mine and will knock out all Hammerites in the area.Quote Posted by jiansonz
When I figured out how to get up on the bank building (by pushing a barrel next to the policeman there, get up on it and mantle onto the sign, then onto the balcony) I thought this was the way the author intended for us to do it. Now I do not think that anymore.
How do you open the safe in the bank? It's unpickable, and I never found a key for it.

Ginnie had the key on her when her corpse was dropped in the sewers. Then gravity did its thing...

Thank you, prjames and balboa. I hadn't thought to use the bug bomb as it was intended. That helped tremendously! Also, when I quit using moss arrows to "soften the blow" I could land w/o dying. Go figure!:thumb:

Not a bad FM overall, but I found it way too easy to climb out of the map and crash the game with the "scene complexity too high" error.

You can kinda break the game by freeing Timmy first and drop him off without interacting with the bar guy first. I think this is why the great shrub key never appears. No worries, a least it can be bashed down.
Another break is visiting Ursula without visting sewers by crossing the tightrope and mantle onto the right hammer on the roof and proceed down the "ramp" and onto the ledge that goes along the canal. Just use a run jump and then drink a slow fall potion to jump higher and grab onto the rope and up you go.
A way to get stuck is to go along tight rope, but go down the ramp leading nearest to the balcony wit the woman getting some fresh air. it's not possible to jump from the grass to balcony, but with a slowfall potion, you can leap over this invisible barrier. Since I only had 1 slowfall potion and I used it, this is a 1 way trip and if you didn't unlock the path to this place...I think you're stuck, unless you manage not to use the slow fall potion under the bed for its intended purpose
Also it's possible to break timmy without the prison door closing. Lean forward enough and he'll be frobbable without triggering the door closing. But the package wont be there when you bring timmy back. You need to activate the door losing event to make it appear:D

I made it through the portal in shanty town area. See an apebeast on a catwalk above. what to do here? Already been to Bloated Burrick in and saw the note to come here.
Stuck, need a hint. thank you.

Replaying to see if I can find all the hammer sigils and now I'm stuck in the hammerites dormitory. There's no way out of here.
Shit, that's not fair. What's the point of purposefully creating a place where the player will get stuck and have to go back to an earlier save?

Put out the last torch on the right hand wall, then frob it. The elevator will go down, and a bed moves to reveal a cache with a slow-fall potion you can use to drop down the elevator shaft.

The note in the Bloated Burrick tells you to go back to the docks where the mission will end if you've completed all your other objectives.
The area with the apebeast is a secret. Look above the portal to find a gem. You'll have to find a way to get it down. Quote Posted by Lady Taffer

There are a couple of readables in that room that give you hints on how to get out. One is on the wall (I think) and the other is in a footlocker.
Spoiler:
One of the torches looks different than the others. Dowse it and frob it.

I thought that might be it when I found that note. .but then I looked around and didn't see any conspicuous unlight torches, but then I thought "Maybe I have to douse out a torch first? . . .NAHH." If only I hadn't dismissed that thought. . I should have remembered that this is a Balboa mission. :p
