Violate one of your goals. OK Tannar, thanks. I'm right at the end now, so I'll just have to leave this to someone else to discover. Maybe next time...
Edit: Ok, Ok, I couldn't resist. I restarted and found it. As mentioned previously, not really a bonus - but actually a
mission fail. Never liked the look of that

I am already starting off on a neg emotion! :grr:
That I had to dl the no movies version cuz even dl'ing ffdshow and ALREADY having Divx player on my pc for quite a while now and I still could'nt get it to run with the movies!
That's a major bummer to me cuz i feel that if an FM author goes thru the trouble to make movies, then I wanna see em, to get the full effect of what the author intended! :(
(don't see why ya jus could'nt have made the movies same way ya did in "Vandal", those ran fine!)
OY! and now an Equipment shop that does'nt have anything in it to sell to me?

Sorry about the bad vibes, GS. The system I used to make the Vandal movies blew up (I'm rather tough on 'puters), and the XVid movies in Ladytaker seemed like a good replacement, and had no negatives during beta testing.
I had hoped to revisit the movies again, but then my main system blew up, (I'm rather tough on 'puters), so that's on hold for a while, until I replace it, again.
The only purpose of the store is to let you know what you're starting with - everything you need can be found (or stolen) somewhere in Upton.
As soon as I have the newer system up, and running Dromed, I can get to work on the next chapter. Can't say anything in the Upcoming & abandoned FMs list untill I'm closer to 50% complete (I'm already at 0% - how long could it take?), but I have left a small clue, if you can figure it out. :ebil:

petulant rant
You DO know you can just watch the briefing movie in your media player before playing the mission, if it doesn't work in game, right?

I FINALLY got a chance to play this over the last couple of days and I absolutely loved it! I had a great time exploring it but, as expected, it was pretty complex and I had to come check the forum thread a couple of times to get unstuck. I plan to start over again later on today as it's far too much fun to only play once. Thanks, Balboa!

COMPLEX!
Now I am stuck - got the mallet, got out of the tomb - but now it seems i can only go between the starting area and Ladywalke and Park - the gate behind the Upton door is now closed! :erg:

Even the DivX player wont run the movies.
Of course I am not sure if it's because they are still zipped as per Darkloader usage.
Nope - since i am actually playing the no movies version - i dl'd the one WITH the movies to a diff folder, then unzipped and tried to run movies with DivX player - says i need an additional audio decoder
