T2 FM: L'Arsene (Sep. 6, 2002)

I was going through the other threads but couldn't find the solution to my particular problem.

I think I found L'Arsene by leaping onto a second floor outdoor siding with a tiny window where only half the window would open. Is that L'Arsene? And am I supposed to be able to gain entry here?

I'm also missing a key or two. I think it would be the final key but I'm not sure. There's a second floor interior set of large doors that require a key. This would be where one of the two guards is sleeping on the chair.

There's also an outdoor locked gate leading into an area I don't think I've been to. I'm hoping one key would open both the outdoor gate and the indoor set of doors, which are close by.

While I'm at it, There are definately a lot of passageways ways above ground level. I got through most of them, but some have no apparent access ( nothing a rope arrow can secure to). Spatially, I'm in the area where I retrieved my goods. So that would be near the end.

Hope that wasn't too confusing.

I have the same problem with the large doors and the small half door .:p I haven't tried going back to the start and opening the metal door under the bushes yet - let me know if you find something .

Damn...I forgot all about that metal door under the bushes...looks like there's a lot more to do yet.

That's not L'Arsene that you can see through the window, though you do need to get in there. Have you found the key to the Abandonned Quarter yet? Look in the rooms that are beside Chez Serge. There's a room where there's been a murder. The key is tucked in under the edge of the sofa and it's hard to see.

I thought that I had found L'Arsene's treasure in a second floor room just inside of the abandoned area east of Chez Serg, but was wrong. Is it in that ground door at the beginning? I never did find a key for that one.

Also, there appears to be some above ground passageways that aren't accessable with a rope arrow. Is this just for looks, or is there a way up.

Any upper passageways that are useful can be gotten into, usually just by rope arrowing up. There's one that you can jump to from another one, that I know of. I haven't really explored this one that thoroughly yet, so there could be others like that.

As for your problems, Clock: [SPOILER]L'Arsene's stash is down below the door in the ground.There's a clue somewhere that gives you a hint of where to look for the key. Le Poullieux stole it, though he doesn't know what it unlocks. To find it, go through the Security offices (Police station), out the upper door to the metal catwalk, down the ladder and, at the bottom, turn to the right and go through the wooden tunnel. (YOu might want to bring a box or two with you. I needed them at the end of this section to get the key, though I'm sure some people don't.) At the end of the wooden tunnel, you end up in a shed with some barrels. In the back corner, to your left, there's a ladder. It's the same color as the wall, pretty much, and it's a bit dark there, so you may not have seen it. Climb the ladder, go through the rooms, etc. to the very end, where you'll find yourself facing a round tower with a window. You need to get in that window and you'll find the key, lying on the floor beside Le Poullieux's diary.[/SPOILER]

Thanks again Nightwalker. I just now found my way and everything fell into place.

I don't know if this is deliberate or not, but some ladders are VERY difficult to see. This mostly would be a comment on the individuals' computer or monitor. Personally, I like to play this game at night where daytime light doesn't hinder view. Even so, that was very tough to find. I actually had to follow the pathway in reverse with my eyes, then hunted in the vicinity for a way up.

I'm not on expert, but beginner. I'm having trouble getiing out of the northeast section of town, where the the Jail(watch) is. I see an opening high above me, and thought it was Pouvellixs' tower(?). Can anyone help me with this?
