I think the gate is pretty much right next to Chez Serge's. I don't remember if you need a key to it - though it seems you do for a lot of things in L'Arsene. If you do need a key, I'm sorry - I don't recall where it might be. :(

I walked all over this town finding that stupid gate....urgh
it was right behind my nose.
I never thought of that area.
Mission complete, all but 100 in loot found.....pretty darn good for me.

Ok, this is a pretty stupid question, I know, but where in the heck is Arsene's loot? I've gotten all my other objectives accomplished, including putting Arsene in jail. But somehow I missed picking up his loot? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! This is a great mission! Very tricky in a couple of spots...

also, just read the post about opening the door in the ground next to the shed... I think I've found every key, or I thought I had anyway, but I don't seem to have found the one that opens this door... I thought I had also gotten into every tower... where is Le Poullieux hiding so I can get the key to open this door in the ground next to the shed at the beginning of the mission? thanks much.

I dont recall where that key is exactly.
I think...... you have to visit a gate is pretty much right next to Chez Serge's.
If it is not that, then go back to the thief hideout. There is a key there that you can collect. If you wish to fight your way, be good and fast or you will die. Be creative on how you go about getting this key. I was, and did not loose a drop of life. Nor did the thieves inside. They just have a major headach now.

But since you have found that door by the shed, you are in the right area for the loot. You just need to find the key.

I got the key from the thieves' hideout. I guess I must be missing the one from Le Pollieux... I'll search about some more... thanks much

The key you're missing is [SPOILER] up in le Pouilleux's tower. There's a shed full of barrels at the end of a wood lined tunnel that starts at the bottom of the ladder at the back of the Security station. Look in the back corner of that shed for a ladder. [/SPOILER]

Yup, that did it. I could always see the tower & the catwalks above me, but couldn't figure out how to get in there! Can't believe I missed it. Finished now! got all the loot too. Great mission. Appreciate the help & now, of course, feel a bit like a dolt for not having found the ladder....

Many, many people, including myself, missed that the first time through this mission. It's in a dark corner and pretty much the same color as the wall, so it's very hard to play. The first time I played it, it was in French, too, so I couldn't understand any of the texts, so didn't get the hints about a tower, etc., which made it even harder.

Great mission!

But....

I have found far too many areas with absolutely no reward aside from the gratification of finding the way in.

For instance, I found a small window behind some bushes on a ledge which allowed me to surprize a man sitting on the john. I went through the main floor, and then upstairs. On the upper floor there were 2 guards and a nice room with a fire blazing.

No keys, coins, etc.!!! I even wasted a water arrow!

Then when I thought--here is a double door leading somewhere, I discover of the many keys I have, none open this door, and I can't pick it either. :grr:

Game objectives complete: Loot, Arsene's treasure, Garrett's goods.
