The key to the double doors is[SPOILER]De Charry's key which you can get from the man in the cage in the room adjacent to the thief siting before the fireplace (you can see the thief through a shutter with an "X" beside it but since only one side opens you can't get through it.) There's at least one search thread which tells one how to get access to this area via the drop in the abondoned ruins if you haven't been here aready. :) [/SPOILER]

Hi to you all.
I'm playing l'Arsene and can't find the key to open the door, flat on the floor (to some kind of basement perhaps) which is in a corner of the streets, between some bushes, in front of a open shed with some barrels.

As for L'Arsene, you don't find the key to that door until a bit into the mission. You don't say how far you've played, so if you've just started, don't read the spoiler.

If you've gone quite aways into the mission, however, the key is [SPOILER] found in Le Pouilleaux's tower. To get into it, go into the Security building and out the upper door to a metal walkway. Climb down the ladder and turn to the right. You'll see a wood lined tunnel. Walk through it and into a shed. There's a ladder, in the back corner to your left as you enter, but it's hard to see, as it's almost the same color as the wood. Climb it and follow the pathway to the tower. [/SPOILER]

Found it!
Now I've got a next problem. Where is l'Arsene and how do I open the double door in a big house. I need a key somewhere, but al of my keys don't fit.
And then there's that guard in black clothes, sitting in a large room with books. I only can see him from a half open window, when I jumped to a ledge in front of it, but I can't get into that chamber. On the opposite of the room I can see (perhaps) another window, but I don't know how to get there. I can't get around the building somehow.

Have you been in Chez Serge, Gloria? There's a room beside it where a murder was committed. Look under the sofa in that room for a key, then take it down the street to a gate. It will unlock it and let you enter the abandonned quarter. That will get you going in the right direction to get you into the areas you mentioned.

I missed that key.
But I think I must be really stupid, 'cause now I'm down in the cave, climbed up those big stones, got to the spiders, killed them, took all arrows, opened the gate ........... and then couldn't find anything to get out of there. I tried to rope up, but couldn't get far enough, so I think that's not the way out. Tried to get the sword out of the wall, but it doesn't light up and I can't hit it. I searched behind every rock. Is something wrong with my eyes? I think that other gate is supposed to open, isn't it?

There's a button on the wall above the spot where you found the arrows on the floor, in the room with the spider. You need to hit it with a broadhead to open the gate. It's easier from up above, where you can look out over the room from higher up. :)
