I think I need new contactlenses. I REALLY didn't see that button. How dó you do this always, Nightwalker?
Right, I got right on to it and got out of there. I got everything else, except Arsene, so I got back tot the spot, just before I fell in the well in the caves and walked towards the guy outthere. I could only get him down with my sword. As I picked him up, I got the message: cadavre. Is this Arsene?
I took him back to the prisoncells and put him in the one I could open with my key, but nothing ticked off.
Another hint ...... please.........?
Gloria (blind) Creep:angel:
 O, what's my problem ............. :grr: I'm a taffer...I'm a taffer...I'm a taffer.....why can't I do any taffer"things" like they're supposed to be done ....:weird: :tsktsk:

LOL! We all have moments like that, Gloria. I've just spent hours wandering around Christine's new mission, searching every nook and cranny for a key. It turned out that the guard wearing it was just never in the same place I was and I kept missing him. :cheeky:
L'Arsene is back in a house that you've probably already been in. You can get in through a small window that takes you into a bathroom with a man sitting on the toilet. There's a set of locked doors upstairs and you should have the key now. It was worn by the man in the cage that you saw in the abandonned area.
I have a big problem with this mission: I have completed all the objectives except to find L'Arsene's treasure. I guess it's behind the only locked door I couldn't unlock so far. A note mentioned that Le Poullieux would have the key. Well, he doesn't carry it, so I went to his place. I'm now standing in front of the window....
.... and can't !"§$%-mantle up. It seems it is always just one pixel too high, or I'm standing not in the right way. I've tried to jump into this blasted tower for twenty minutes now. Is there any trick to this? Or another way in?
[Ah, never mind.... I carried a crate up and then it wasn't a problem.]

Wow. What a mission. I recommend it to any Taffer who enjoys "Ambush-like" missons.
Anyway, I've got a problem.
I just passed the Mechanist quarters of the station and I've entered the Eastern section of the city (where L'Arsene is rumoured to be living in right?). Well this sounds really vague but I don't know how else to put it.
All I need is a quick hint pointing me to my next direction. Just one hint. After getting past the Mechanist quarters, what next?
--
In order to access the Mechanist quarters, I had to fire a noisemaker near the entrance from the prison area to lure the two guards away. Is searching the 2nd level and the room with the big glass window vital to completing this mission?
Nightwalker on 17/8/2003 at 23:56
By "Mechanist quarters" do you mean the Police station (Security building)? If so, then there are several things to do in that area. To start
you can find the key to L'Arsene's stash. Hint: It's up high somewhere and the way to it is close to the ladder you just climbed down. You also need to find some things in the apartment beside Chez Serge.
Just keep exploring and you'll find more. :)
Child of Karras on 20/8/2003 at 11:21
Chez Serge... you mean the bar with the keeper barkeep?
Okay so I've got the blue (?) key near L'Arsene's diary. What now? I've been running around town with no clue.
Nightwalker, could you be a little more clear? I don't really get what you mean.
The house with the guard sleeping on the chair, there's a locked door. How do I get in?
The window with the X, there's a thief in there. Is that L'Arsene? How do I get in?
Nightwalker on 20/8/2003 at 12:23
You'll find the way into both those places eventually. I just don't want to post too much and spoil things for you. Take the key you found in Chez Serge (the one under the edge of the couch) and
use it to open a gate at the end of that street. That takes you into the abandonned area and will get you a key to the locked part of the house with the sleeping guard. This is where you'll find L'Arsene. The guy in the room with the open shutter isn't L'Arsene, but you'll get into there from the abandonned area. That's actually where you come back out to the street.
There are lots of other hints and clues already on the forum if you do a search, too.

Confused in security office playing expert.
Do not understand why the key to open the second floor office with the wobbly floor is on a desk in the office below when you need access to the 2nd floor office to rope arrow down to the office below to get the key in the first place? Luckily, I made a mad dash through the first floor and grabbed the key from the first floor office before going upstairs.

Maybe that has something to do with my second problem. On the second floor, all I acheived was to open the window in the autopsy room and rope arrow down to the second floor office. I see reading the threads there is an outside door on the second floor??? Cannot find that bugger in any of the four rooms on second floor. Am I missing a switch or button or something?
Nightwalker on 24/8/2003 at 14:33
joanieS, the "wobbly floor" bit makes more sense if you enter the building by a second floor window. You can do this whole section without alerting any of the guards.
I think you have missed a big section of the Security building. There are 2 "second floor" areas. The one you're in is a balcony area above the front foyer. Go down to the main floor and up a hallway where you'll find another set of stairs that leads to a larger second floor section. That's where you'll find the door mentioned in the other posts.
Thanks, Nightwalker.
That was an interesting journey, Had not seen that hallway before so did a temporary save and used my only speed potion just to get in there and find that darn window. Lo and behold, I sure DID miss a big portion of the security office plus the window led me to a section of town I had not had access to before. Damn the speed portion, full speed ahead in the new section!!!
