T2 FM: L'Arsene (Sep. 6, 2002) - by Lady Jo

Okay. Got it now. Mission complete. I had the key all along, but I didn't immediately try to open all the cell doors on getting the key from the guards, so I tediously had to go through every key on each of the three doors. Until I knew the key came off the guard, I wasn't being thorough enough.
To get the "put L'Arsene in a cell" objective checked off, you have to put him in the empty cell in the security building. The guard who was on the cell block had the key.
Great mission. A couple spots that were just too damn hard, but very nice big city, artfully rendered (not as good as Korrigans though), lots of hiding places, fun guards, secret passages.
spine tingling traps
and a good story. Phew! I actually quit playing my new HL2 game to finish this because L'Arsene is more compeling.
I ordered a set of french finishing sauces from Williams and Sonoma to promote better relations between our countries just because of these great French FM's. (and of course the excellent translation) :)

My map is not showing up at all. Suggestions anyone?

I can't see a map either, and there isn't one in my zip. :erm:
Maps are usually files named eg Page001.pcx or Page002.pcx etc.
When the others refer to "the map" they are probably talking about the game layout.

Hi
Can anyone help me, im really stuck.
I fell down a pit and managed to escape by triggering a switch that opened a grate. I then followed the tunnel out until I got to a person sleeping infront of a fire. I knocked the person out. Now, where exactly is L'arsene? I could not find any keys in the room with the sleeping thief...
Thanks

The key is
worn by the man in the cage, in the other room.
Once you have it, you need to
go over to the shuttered window on the east wall of the room where the man is sleeping, flip the wall switch to open one shutter and frob the other one to open it, then slide down to the ground. Turn south, walk to the end of the street and mantle up onto a raised garden. There is a window behind the bush in the corner. Open the shutters, climb through into a bathroom in De Charry’s house, drop down and go out the door. The key will open a door in this house and that's where you'll find L'Arsene.
I've never posted on this long thread, but my two cents is that this is some of the nicest city layout I've ever played, and also some of the prettiest. Kudos! :thumb:

Alright, havin some trouble too. I got the key and my stuff from Chez Serge. Used that key on a gate and got through. I ended up in some hideout, where I finally met some guy chasing me [until I fell down to the pool of water, hehe]. Now I'm stuck in the area with the Admiral. Where to next? :weird:
There's a room with a spider in it and there are some broadheads scattered on the floor there. Look above them and you'll see a button on the wall. Use a broadhead to hit it and it will open the gate and allow you to get out.
Ok I got out of that area and proceeded on. I got L'Arsene's message to one of his followers, don't remember his name. Anyway, in that message he said that he's going to De Charry's. I also got the key to De Charry's, however, I can't seem to find it. Every place I've searched is one I have already visited.
Sorry for asking too much questions :(
