I tried searching in other threads about this level, but I couldn't find the answer/tip to what I was looking for
I'm having trouble finding the [SPOILER]gas arrow. I read in another thread about it being in the armory (I assume the one with the camera and the 2 vaults, but I don't recall finding one there)[/SPOILER]
any help would be appreciated...thanks!

Its possible no-one remembers, I don't I'm afraid. Lots of people didn't find it. Perhaps it depends on the difficulty level as to whether its [SPOILER]in a box in the armoury or not.[/SPOILER]

Yes, I saw the question but, like Nickie, don't particularly remember where there's a gas arrow or whether there even IS one on all difficulty settings. I'm much more likely to remember where to find a key than a piece of equipment. Is it terribly important to find one? It's not necessary to complete the mission as far as I know.

I am playing on normal...the main reason I assume I need the gas arrow to knock L'Arsene out (and take him to the prison). Using a flash bomb/mine and blackjacking him doesn't work.
I've completed all the other objectives and I think I've been everywhere in the level. [SPOILER]L'Arsene is just standing there in the tunnel (where he chased me earlier when I went looking for him, before I dropped into the cave with the zombie and spider)..
In the armory (in the 2 vaults under the camera), I found water arrows, mines, flash bombs/mines, but no gas arrows

I think you've possibly hit a bug. If I remember correctly, the person who runs down the tunnel (I assume it's supposed to be L'Arsene) is supposed to disappear. You find L'Arsene in deCharry's house in a section behind locked double doors. You find the key to get in there in the abandoned district. It's worn by deCharry's nephew who is locked in a cage.
I'd suggest you just carry on with the mission and see if he's in the place where you're supposed to find him when you get there.

ok I think I may have encountered a bug...

I am currently in DeCharry's place, with no sign of L'Arsene (I read that he's supposed to be in there). I went through the opening in the ceiling, and after dropping into the room with the 2 people sleeping, I went down a ladder (from the top), which takes me behind a banner (and I don't know how to open it)[/SPOILER]

I don't think the banner opens from that side but it just takes you into another room nearby. That's really a shortcut that you're supposed to find to get into the room where you find L'Arsene. If he's not patrolling in the big room with the rafters then you HAVE hit a bug and you may have to restart if you want to finish it but it might not be worth it as you're very close to being done. That's a bug I don't think I've come across before.

Hmm. . I'm stuck in the room with the Admiral (who I KOed) and two gated-off hallways with spiders in them.
apparently I'm supposed to hit a switch somewhere to open up the gate, but I can't find it anywhere! Where exactly is it?

Climb the big rocks and cross a little passage. You'll be above a room. In front of you there is a little button, shoot an arrow on it. If need, use your zoom eye, this button is very difficult to see.
