ShadowWolf -
There's a button on the wall in the room where you found the big spider. There's a small pile of broadheads on the floor at one end and the button is about 3/4's of the way up that wall. It's easier to spot from up above, before you jump down to the lower level. You need to hit that button with an arrow to open the gate out.
Where the heck is this taffin' button you talk about? I don't see but bricks on the walls... and I've also raised the gamma adjust to the max; no button!
Filthy Weed on 21/4/2009 at 20:43
... Hm. I swear I could not spot it off the wall, and I even shot all my arrows up the bricks around that height level. Nothing. I thought there might have been a bug with the textures; after all, I could walk through the wooden barrels in that mission.
Thanks for the screenshot, clearing.

Cannot figure out how to get into the greengrocers store. The boards do not seem to be affected by the sword? Thanks.:D
Tannar on 15/5/2009 at 17:29
Iirc, there is a passage into that store from one of the other shops on that street.

Haven't played this one for a while. However I'm stuck this time - I'm still in the first part of town. I can't open the iron gates or the locked metal door in the ground. I have no keys and can't find another entrance to the sewer.. I'm sure I've been in all the buildings.
Can someone give me a hint please...
D'oh! As usual, found it just after posting !!!

Alright...after playing for an hour or so and not having the satisfaction of completing any of the objectives, I need help.
I read this thread from start to finish and there is a lot of talk about different "districts". What is being used to determine what a district is? It seems as though the help in this thread is only useful with a map...but there isn't one. I would be so grateful is anyone had screenshots showing which district is which. I'm also thoroughly confused about who is who and why I give a rat's arse, but maybe that will clear up as I progress.
Thanks for any help,

A district is the place you can walk until you meet a locked gate: you have to find a key for it or another way to the other district.
The first district is the inn, some streets and all the shops.
The second is small, and you only have to do one thing there: get the key.
The third contains the police staion and a warehouse.
The fourth contains some buildings were you can walk in, the inn were Arsene stays, the abandoned city part and the mansion from the rich guy.
To get from the first to the second, get in a watchtower to the left of all the shops and go into the sewers. Find a key.
To get from the second to the third, Get into a place where Arsene wrote a 'X' on the wall.
To get from the third to the fourth, get into the police station.
If you need more help, let me know.

Thanks. That should help get my bearings. A map would have been very useful for this mission. Off to taff...
If it is in Sécurite's post , find good Mechanist
uh oh, i ko-ed one and killed all other mechanists in the securlty building, does that mean i wont get a needed key?
(i think i did pickpocket one from a mechanist tho!) (a "north-east" one)
and the gas arrow - me too for not finding it yet - if you do mean the armoury as being where theres a mechanist "watcher" and two wall safes, there is NO chest in there!
was the red room the prostitutes room? what was that about rejecting her then?
(i just slithered in and ko-ed her, my usual MO ya know!) and what was with that mystic sound in the room just before hers?
aww, just read Pouilloux's letter. man, now i am bummed out! :(
poor guy, wish the game allowed me to leave a lil something for him! like a few gold and maybe something shiny! :)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i killed the admiral, and i guess i was supposed to since it did'nt wreck the objective of no innocents.
when i saw it was just a ratty lookin old guy i kinda felt bad, but hell, if you look like a zombie and move like a zombie, and KEEP COMIN TOWARDS ME, well, imma gonna killz ya!
ok, one goateed fop who thought he could match wits with a TRUE Master Thief shall now rot in jail. Time for the True Master of the Craft to meet that intriguing Victor guy! :thumb:
(never did find any gas arrow! only one place was an "amoury"(other than Garrett's own gear) and there was no "chest" there, just two wall safes and no gas arrow in either one of the safes! (and none in Garrett's gear either!)
