yes i do own the v. 1.18 of thief 2, which just happens to be the highest one can go with thief 2, yet to no avail, i'm at the point of opening dromed and figuring out whats wrong with the portal or creating a back door oout of there, although i really dont want to do it if i dont have to changing it might ruin the feel.

wild_inferno - Have you tried standing on the teleporter and jumping? There's a clue there to tell you that the second time you use the teleporter, it work when you first get on it, you need to jump. Maybe that's happening to you the first time around?

Ditto on all complements/raves about this mission. I am in awe (...as in awwww, my FM is gonna look like crap compared to this!!)
Finished on "sneak", but only 12 secrets, and missing some loot. Only one blackjack because I got frustrated trying to get past the guard at the top of the main stairs, and finally KO'd him. Maybe I'll try again, though, as I'm fairly certain I can bypass the stairs completely next time.
Another cool feature that I don't think has been mentioned yet was the numbering of the light crystal (zero when dark, 7 when brightest). I'm sure everyone noticed, but has anyone seen this in a FM before? It seems like I recall some light crystal tampering of some sort before, but I can't remember which mission(s).

This misson is great!
I've been playing for 2 weeks now and almost done. I found Alan next to the pond of water I jumped into to escape from the 30 tree beasts chasing me. (ok, only 5 but those things scare me. :)) But now where do I go? Do I need to sneak back past those tree beasts? [SPOILER]I read a post about a teleporting face and red rubies, but have yet to encounter that. I made my way into the cavern via the picture of Viktoria. I have the cube, Truth,and met the secret objective (7) and loot objective[/SPOILER] Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

MaddogCT - [SPOILER] You're right. You need to take Lord Alan and sneak back past the treebeasts and into the caves where you found the portrait. Then look around for an entrance into another underground glade (Relax! :joke: There's no treebeasts in this one.) and you'll find the way out from there. [/SPOILER]
