This is a really fantasic FM just to 'taff' around and explore and thanks to the author for all the hard work that went into it - it must having taken you taffing ages! Anyway, my taffing days are at an end unless I can get out of Lord Alan's bedroom. I have no key for the door,
Quote:
I have spotted the armoire secret exit but I have slashed everything in sight and searched high and low for a lever or button but can't find it. I must be missing something obvious.
The author won't even let be commit suicide by a spectacual three and a half sumersault leap (with double backflip) from the balcony so I guess I'll have to borrow the Lord's slippers and sit comfortably until help arrives!

I'm stuck again.
1. I have Lord Alan
and have reached the stane face which teleports you back. It says you have to jump on your second time through and I've tried jumping into the mouth both with and without Lord Alan and nothing happens. The eyes also light up but I can't figure out how to active it.
2.
I know where you go to the get to the riddles section. The only two doors that will open and not kill you are the far left and far right. Each contain a purple room with nothing in! Looking at previous posts isn't there meant to be a window you have to smash here? What do I have to do?
1.
You have to "use" the rubies on the eye sockets. Did you do that? Then a red field appears in the mouth. You jump into that and it teleports you back to Lord Alan's room (don't worry, the door will open by itself). If you've been through the teleport once already, then the second time, you need to jump in, then jump up in the air once more to activate it. It's a small bug that couldn't be corrected, hence the plaque.
2.
When you open the two end doors, the middle door opens, as well. That's the one you need to go through. Make sure you pick up the clue scroll and use it to get through the other rooms.
Thanks Nightwalker but I don't have the rubies. Will I need to start again or are they somewhere in the treebeast section if I do some more taffing around.
Nightwalker on 25/5/2003 at 12:55
They're in the same area as the stone face. There are numerous little side glades. Just keep wandering and you'll find them eventually. :)
Sir Lance on 25/5/2003 at 13:42
Yes Nightwalker I found them before but am taking a short break from this one as they are a nightware to line up correctly to get that red field.
Nightwalker on 25/5/2003 at 14:42
It should be simple, actually. Just "use" them on the proper eyesocket and they click into place.

Just a quick question, how the heck do you get into Lord Alan's Fortress? This place looks impregnable. I looked everywhere for sewer grates and entrances, and no dice, and the big doors don't unlock (well d-uh)
I'll keep trying to get in, but till then I'm stuck, and would appreciate a bit of help from a fellow taffer..
Thanks!
