In no particular order: The Inverted Manse; The Art of Thievery; The Enterprise; The Seventh Crystal. Lord Alan's Fortress was a wonderful mission to play. It's one of those missions that has great replay potential.:thumb:

To Nightwalker : Could you send me the secret list / loot list? sunsurfer71770@hotmail.com
I have finished all objectives but am stumped on the secrets, only found 8 of them.
spoiler:
There is a small window in the attic by some statues where I can see some loot but can not figure out how to get to it?
Nightwalker on 14/6/2003 at 20:37
I'll send you the combination loot list/secrets list. That spot you can see into from the attic is accessed through one of the secrets.
There's a banner you can frob in the Library (also another entrance from the pool room, but it doesn't register as a secret.) Climb the ladders in there to the very top.
Thanks for all the help. Great mission. I look forward to more from this author. The Basment and fortress are two of the best FM's I've played. Running in close to Calendra's Legacy.

Have jumped through the stone face with ruby eyes with Lord Alan and landed in his bedroom. However, the objective for that task did not tick off. Is there something else that needs to be done to get that tick?
Nightwalker on 22/6/2003 at 00:40
I just went and checked it out. All I had to do was
take Lord Alan, jump into the red field in the mouth of the face, teleport back to his room and then drop Lord Alan. As soon as I put him down, the door opened and the objective ticked off.
There's no other requirement to finish this objective.

Well, drat! Same problem as with Left for Dead trying to get the first objective to tick. When Lord Alan is dropped on the floor, guards rush into the room and I have to duck to the secret opening to keep from getting smacked. Is that the way it works? Wonder why the heck I am having this problem with getting objectives to tick off?
Nightwalker on 22/6/2003 at 02:46
It's very strange that you keep running into all these problems. I'm afraid I have no idea why, though. I presume you have either ver. 1.18 or your game is patched up to that version? Sometimes problems crop up if you're using ver. 1.07, though I've never come across mention of it with respect to these missions. I wish I could help out more, but I don't know anything about the technical side of these things. It must be a bit frustrating, though.

I have version 1.07 and purchased the dvd set of the fan missions. Its been so many years since I bought the original Metal Age that I don't remember what I did re a patch. I see I have a shortcut to a patch but that particular web site is no longer there.
Funny, because I have been playing fan missions for at least 3 weeks now and have only had this problem on the last two. This is o.k. as long as it doesn't interfere with the game. I will probably be checking with you on more of these odd-ball incidences as they occur just to make sure that I HAVE completed whatever objective isn't checking off.
Thanks, again! :)
