Hm, sluggs I think we talk about two different things here.
I already got the Cube. Now I want to grab a Mask of Truth. From Alan's bedroom you can get to the strange place with 7 tests. I did the first 6 and I'm stuck on the last one. I am in a room with some spheres floating up and the windows all around me. The tip says "shoot the dark" or something. Any help here?

It's been a while but I think
you just have to pick the right window through which to jump.

as I recall it was like the 2nd to the left as you walk in

the entrance is underground

look for a statue

the switch is the nipple.

You can get there from Lord Alan's bedroom
Also, a question from me:
I only found loot in that "purple" room. Since the room was... magestic, I expected something more in there. Did I miss something?
Thanks, that was
2nd window to the right
Now I have the mask of Truth and I returned it to Sir Ignaz (objective checked off).
But
Where is Lord Alan? I am supposed to save him. Also, it was mentioned that the painting with an evil mother was in the chapel. I didn't find it whatsoever.
Also
Where is the West Gate, a place to leave Alan's fortress
Nightwalker on 10/11/2003 at 00:07
No, I think that's all that's in there.

jericho -
To get the Mask, you went through a door on one side of the "chapel" where you found the key. Now go through the door on the other side of the chapel, go to the top of the stairs but not through the door. Look to the left, read the plaque and hopefully, you'll figure out what to do.
The West gate is outside in the grounds. I think you have to flip a lever inside somewhere to open it but there's a good chance you've already done that. It's not hard to find.

Uh, thanks, Nightwalker. I have no idea how I could miss it. The mission is quite large, so I got crazy running around, looking. OK, now I'm on the other side of the barrier and I keep exploring. Thanks, again! :thumb:

OK, I found Lord Alan and I found the "secret connected to the painting". I started exploring around and found the mysterious huge face on the ground. The plaque says I should jump.... Hm, I can't figure out what's the deal here?
By the way, before starting this thread, I did a Search and found no threads for Lord Alan's Fortress FM (there were a couple for Lord Alan's Basement). I wonder how is that possible? I play this FM and I think it's an amazing one!! Very large, complex with perfect architecture and good storyline with a couple of interesting turns of events.
So why this FM wasn't mentioned?

I did a search for "Fortress" and came up with several threads about Lord Alan's Fortress. The main one is (

here.
The big stone face
is like the one in the OM Trails of Blood. You need to find two rubies in that area and place them in the eyes to activate a portal. The sign is there but you ONLY need to pay attention to it if you need to go through the portal a second time. For some reason, you have to "jump" once you're inside to activate it after the first time through.
Did you find Lord Alan?
