Oh, I see. OK, thanks... Looking for
rubies
now.
I must have typed something wrong in the search... :p :erg: :eww: OK, so I see that this FM has a long thread, something I was expecting as for this kind of an FM!
Yes, I found Sir Alan. I'm carrying him with me as I go. :D

Nightwalker
I'm just curious, how do you remember so much detail about all of the FM you have played?
I can remember playing FM's but not every detail.

It's getting harder and harder to keep them all straight because there are so many out now. I have notes on some of them and saves in most of them so I can check things like key placement, etc. if I need to. Some questions are asked so frequently that it's easy to remember the answers! :)

Excellent job. Thanks.
But, you might want a less humble readme:
"This time Garrett has to steal a precious gadget from Lord Alan's Fortress: The Cube.
Nothing exciting. The usual break in and go out."
This almost kept me from playing it. Only bcz my g-friend was playing did I give it a chance.
It was so good I was expecting an end-movie.

Sorry, that I ask again, but I don't have the time to read all the posts.
My questions:
how can I get the key in the chapel? Which item do I need for?
And can anybody tell me how to catch the mask, I can see it from the higher levels.
What is the code to open the weapon room?
I am playing on Normal.
Thank you
Lachdanan

I have not played the level in a long time and i dont have it anymore so i might be a little wrong. In a room with a large organ, i think it can accsessed from the garden, shoot a rope arrow on the ceiling and jump over a railing. There is a room where there is composers notes etc, once over the railing run to your right. I believe it leads to oneof the roof towers. Mantle up into the tower and there is a tablet on the floor that says trust... jump into the majic stream and you will be finding all kinds of things like keys, and you will also pick up a few objectives which lead you to your originals. I am completly cretain of the majic stream etc, but how to get there may be a little off.
Edit: bingo, incase you have not found it, in lord alans bedroom, accsesed by a suicidel balcony stunt there is a secret passage, accsesed by a switch under a comfy stool. This passage leads to a whole buch of places and look closely and the statue with the exposed breast. Breast is not highlighted because it is sexy, ;) (secret passage if your very slow)
Hope i have helped:thumb:
If you have already found all this ignore this post, but you have already read it so ignore the thing about ignoring the post:ebil: twisted ur mind?? :ebil:

Hi TheivingME!
Thank you for your help. But can you also tell me how to catch the mask, whom belongs to Ignaz?
L.
TheivingME on 28/12/2003 at 19:54
sorry mate thats about all i remember, have you found the guy who was locked up for being insane (ignaz)? All i know is if you are on that track then you will find the mask, it is his mask and he is some kind of wizard or warlock.
good luck, infact i am off to redown load it because its such a good lev:)

You don't have to shoot a rope arrow. You need to
find the Crystal that is in the jail cell with Sir Ignaz. Once you have it, you can pick up the key that is in the organ room. It opens two doors, one on each side of that room. Through one door, you'll find the way to The Truth and through the other, the way to Lord Alan.
Originally posted by Nightwalker The clues are pretty specific actually, except for one, which I still have to do by trial and error.
Hehe, I have been one room wrong in the counting order the whole time, but I still made it, after some trial and error. Here is how it went (feel free to laugh!):
"In the first room that you teleport into, open the two end doors and the centre door, underneath the triangle shape, will open. Walk through it to the second room."
I got that one. The book was pretty specific.
"The clue for this room is: Alignment is key. Look through the holes in the central structure. The doors that you can see through those holes are the ones you need to open. When they are both open, the door under the triangle shape opens and you go through it to Room 3."
I made it through the first room by trial-and-error (didn´t understandd the thing with the central structure) and applied the Alignment clue to the next room instead. The handles for the two doors you should open are ALIGNED in the same direction. Since I was sure I had solved this from that hint, all the follwing hints made no real sense or I twisted them in my mind to fit the situation:
"This clue is: Can you handle it? Check the door handles. Only two have them on the same side of the door as the door under the triangle shape. Open those two, then go through the door under the triangle.
Clue for Room 4 is: In the blink of an eye. This is the one I have to do by trial and error. Apparently, two of the lights flash in the same rythmn as the one over the triangle door, but I can never see it. You need to open the first one to your left and the second one to your right, as you stand in the doorway after entering. "
I didn´t get these two clues either. I took them as a hint to be ready to back off immidiately to avoid the fire arrows. I.E. "Can you handle it (the tough situation) and move out of danger in the blink of an eye!" I had to run a lot...
"The next clue is: The music will guide you. Listen at each door. Lean in to them and you will hear music. Listen to the music of the door under the triangle then find the two doors that sound the same. Those are the ones you open."
I tried to listen but I was in the wrong room. I was already in the "metal" room by this time! Made it through with saves and trial-and-error.
"The next clue is: In metal there is strength. Take your Sword or BJ and hit the doors. Open the ones that make a metallic clang."
I was already in the last room when I used this clue. I took it to mean: In metal, there is strength, i.e. use your metal sword to destroy the glass windows!
The final clue is: A shot in the dark. Put out the fire in the brazier and look at the windows. One of them is brighter than the others. Break it and jump through. "
Here, I peeked over the edge into the passages I had cleared by breaking the windows, and simply jumped into the one passage that looked darker than all the others. It was the right one!
:)
I am pretty satisfied with my first try at this mission. I normally get stuck on such large and complicated missions but not in this one. I only missed about 700 gold and 2 secrets. I got ALL 35 pickpockets, which I am very proud of.
I sneaked through each area first to get pickpockets. But later, when I tried to solve things I didn´t solve at first, I got spotted so many times, I finally had enough and used the pool to thin out the guard population a bit (I convinced the guards to fall into the pool). I also gassed a couple of nasty archers. No BJs at all, though.
The worst problem I had during the entire mission was this:
I spent over half an hour trying to open that darn western gate! I was convinced there had to be some underground passage to where the guards I could hear were located. Or that you had to get up on the wall somewhere to enter one of the small towers by the gate. When I had solved everything else, I finally got back to try one more time. Of course, now the gate was suddenly open! By golly, that was an EVIL way to design this part...
