Your questions are all pretty much linked together.
You don't need to use the Truth anywhere, just deliver it. Go back to the Chapel, where you found the key. You'll notice that there's another door on the opposite side of the room from the door you went through to get the Truth. Go up the stairs, but don't go through the door to the walkway. There's a plaque on the floor to the left. Read it and it should (hopefully) get you on the way to the section you missed.
I'm ghosting on sneak difficulty and I'm missing some loot and secrets. So I'd appreciate some hints on secrets.
When I carried Alan back to his room the objective didn't check. Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks Nightwalker...I should have recognized it. It's been forever since I played that OM.
Smeagol: I was just about to give you the hint but NW beat me to it.
In general though (and this is a general comment for anyone) you can find hints to get to all the important places if you read the books in the castle. (All the readings in this FM are suprizingly good).
In fact, all the major hints are packed into one book! the captain of the guard's ledger on security risks, which is going down the left hallway from the side entrance if I remember right. BTW, how funny is it that the captain of the guard would give such detailed instructions on how to break into every important secure area in the castle in one place. :tsktsk:
For anyone who's just starting this FM, if you think it's great archetecture and atmostphere at the beginning, just wait! The FM just keeps getting better and better as it goes on. By the end it's practically sublime.
Game on, taffers!

Thanks again, Nightwalker - you're the Queen !
I noticed, you've been beta-testing many FMs in the last year.
Why do you do that ? Do you mainly want to help people
(after all, that's what you're famous for) ?
- Or can't you just await to get more FM-food (like us all...)
I decided to not betatest, simply because all the fun about thief
comes from not knowing the places
(that's why I rarely play them twice - it's not 1/3 the fun)

I must agree this is an amazing mission with a lot of cool tweaks - but, unfortunately I cannot finish the mission. Because the author decides to put that "invisible wall" (airbrush) along the side of the roof where the 2 statues are - I did a quick save there and then figured this airbrush was there after that. So now Garrett is stuck on the side of a roof up against an invisible airbrush and cannot climb back up the roof to get to another side of the roof because he's stuck in a wedge - so thus, it's all over for me and I don't really wanna start from scratch again.
IMO, if he wanted us to scale over rooftops and DIDN'T want us to go to that side of the roof then put a fence or something that tells the player not to try to go that way!
I'm sorry to be testy here, and it is an incredible FM - I'm just frustrated watching Garrett sit on the side of a roof not being able to go anywhere for a real-life type of problem but rather for a Dromed problem.

Can someone help me with one little thing:
There is one of the towers spaces around the outside of the castle, that I can't get into. It's marked with a question mark on the map and if you get on top of it and look down, you can see a purple light coming out of the top. Through a grating, I can see some statues standing in a circle. Please tell me how to get in here!

You can still get out of the wedge, but you have to run forward and sideways at the same time. This way Garrett is fast enough to slowly creep up the slippery roof. This should be enough for you to get back between the other towers.

Krush the Second: It's a secret area whither you can get to from
Alans secret "peeking hallways".
Hrmmm....ok thanks. I guess I'll go try to find it again.

Thanks, Slyfoxx, but I bit my teeth together and finished the mission before I got to read your reply :cheeky:
I must say it's probably one of the best missions I've played so far, and I have trouble seeing how just one person can pull off missions like this (Lord Alan, Left4Dead, etc). It just seems like a mindboggling amount of work, talent and determination/inspiration to be able to make such awesome stuff :)
It was very fun to play, nice difficulty and I had to use my brain and I got to feel my heart beat quite fast at times.
Personal highlights: gamespace, architecture, eyecandy, secrets, puzzles
Thank you so much for building and releasing such a wonderful FM!
---
Final results after first play-through (on easy -- I'm a noob ;) ):
time: 6h 7m 40s
loot: 11762/12500
BS: 0 / KO: 37
Damage dealt: 47, taken 14 Healing 11
Kills: innocents 0, others 1 (guard in marble stairs)
Bodies discovered: 1 (one of the servants in the guard tower basement saw the unconcious body of another servant while passing out).
Secrets: 15/15 (wheeeee!)
Bonus objectives: all secrets
Optional objectives:
Rescue Lord Alan, Return The Truth
There was two guards left outside the castle, but since I managed to kill one inside, I had already messed up my shot at the "all KO" bonus objective.
