T2 FM: Lord Fishkill's Curse (Aug. 22, 2003) - by Shadowspawn

playwme, this is maybe a silly question, but did you unzip it?
Gloria Creep on 2/9/2003 at 21:27
I couldn't play this mission. Got the message I needed Gayle Saver's scripts.
So I downloaded them through a address on this site, unzipped them in my Thief directory and now I still can't play this mission.
Does anyone know why?

Did you unzip them right into your T2 game folder? That's where they need to be.

Hi Nightwalker, How is this "folder" called? I unzipped them in my Thief directory, as well as T1 as T2, since I downloaded them both.

BTW: Thanks (again) for your reply.

In Dromed, I break the 'Contains' link from Garrett to Jimmy. Then I add a meta-prop to Jimmy to destroy his body, and at the same time make the one Dad is carrying visible.
During beta testing I found a race condition, where Jimmy could get destroyed (with S&R) while the engine was making him physical again and placing him on the ground. It crashed.
I was pretty sure I fixed that one, it never happened during testing again.
So, try dropping Jimmy as Dad approaches you. Or hang on to him. Don't try to drop him while Dad bends down to pick him up. I tried all of those different combinations, but it still crashes to the desktop. All things considered though, it is a very small problem. I still think that this FM rocks. So many thanks go out to you for all your hard work! :D

Gloria Creep  I had the same problem, scripts unzipped to the right place and all. I suggest you try this: wait for about a minute after Garrett wakes up before frobbing the door it should work.

Hi all, newbie to the list, Shadowspawn that was a great FM! The curse idea is a great twist, but I must admit it was more of an advantage at certain points rather than a problem. The haunts got me a few times, but I also used them to clear every guard and civilian out of the map. Except for the mages, of course. One memorable moment, I was being huntedby a tree beast in the mages center, it was breathing down my back when a fire spider warped in right under its feet. The fire aura fried the tree good, then the spider popped off a missile and killed it. Should have got a screen shot of that one. The main road looked like a slaughterhouse, I sat on the edge of the roof for about ten minutes one time, dropping spiders and those spooky undead cyborgs into the street below.
Any how hello to all and thanks again for a terrific mission!

T2 folder is called "Thief2". You need to unzip the T2 scripts to it.
Gloria Creep on 4/9/2003 at 00:57
Thanks Ethne for your advise, but it didn't work for me.
Nightwalker and 242: I unzipped it in my Thief2 folder and also in Darkloader. Didn't make a difference though.
But it is strange that I CAN see the movie, get into the empty bedroom at start of the game, hear the sighs and noises made by a person behind the door (is this Garrett?). I also can use my sword on the door, my blackjack a.s.o. I also can use my picklocks.
But still I can't frob the door. It lights up when I do'n't use anything and when I just click on my mousebutton, then I'm getting the same instructions as earlier to use Gayle Saver's scripts again.
Can't understand this.
Anyone else does?

Unzip the all files to C:\Games\Thief2 (default T2 directory)
Restart the mission
