T2 FM: Lord Fishkill's Curse (Aug. 22, 2003) - by Shadowspawn

If you saved the game in the room where the message pops up, don't reload from there. When you've put the script files into the right directory, restart the mission from the beginning instead, otherwise the custom scripts won't be recognized by the FM.

I wonder where the scripts are being downloaded from. (
http://thiefmissions.com/scripts/) has instructions; if they're not sufficiently clear I certainly welcome suggestions.

[Folks]
And yet again, Dafydd charges in a year after everybody else, finishes an FM, then resurrects a thread to announce the fact to widespread apathy and eyerolling!
When I first started Lord Fishkill's Curse, I was trying to ghost, and I was really thrown for a loop by the effects of the curse. But I managed to figure out how to deal with it and still ghost the mission, though I missed one secret and 657 out of 4255 loot. The writeup is here, and this one is actually worth reading, if you like ghosting:

WARNING!! The ghost report does contain several spoilers. Skip it if you don't want to be spoilt.
I did save my ghost game, then go across to Jimmy and try both versions of the script, which I highly recommend. Then I reloaded from before and soldiered on.

I missed one of the secrets, but I can't remember which one I got... what are the two secrets?
Thanks,
Dafydd

Secrets Spoiler ahead:
1.) At the apartment building, one floor lower than where Garrett starts, there is a crate on the ledge hiding some loot.
2.) Where you meet Keeper Orlo the second time, the torch opens a secret door with some supplies.
Ah. It was number two I missed.
Thanks,

(Did you read my ghost report?)

Dafydd,
No, haven't read it. Where could I find it? I'll gladly give it a read, although anyone who can ghost that mission is almost godlike.
After the idea of the curse and summoned monsters (you guys have NO idea how insanely hard that was), I figured ghosting was so unlikely I stopped thinking about it.

Well, um, if you'll look about five posts above, you'll see that I linked to it...!

Dafydd invited me to ghost the mission, too. I did so, stealing all the loot that can be obtained in ghost mode. Not quite perfect, but off by 10. I was a beta tester and had ghosted the human AI a few times before, so I had an unfair advantage. I used Dafydd's monster techique, so he gets all the credit. (
http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=295253#post295253 ) You can see my report here. NOTE: this report contains open SPOILERS (as is our custom for ghost reports). Now we have two "almost godlike" persons.;):D
In this run I developed a new appreciation for the monster timings and the interaction of the monsters with other AI in the mission. Very well done, Shadowspawn!:)
