this is a really cool fm. it was brilliant to use the level from the orig. t2 game. I love going over the rooftops again and even on the ground, something you could not do in the orig. Great story, and really fun using the dark to avoid the monsters.
never did find all loot, only 300+ short, and never did find a way to the other side of a gate that is closed near the bank. I see people walking and talking going inside it, but never a way in. No biggee.
this is what I have been waiting for, another rooftop fm, another rooftop fm with the ground portion included as well. you did both, very cool.
is there a sequel? if so, I look forward to its release.
anyone else have a rooftop or rooftop/ground combo fm coming out? these are really fun.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumb:

OK - Just finished it on normal. Actually i was quite sad that it had finished! I rarely enjoy a mission as much as i did this one. At 1st glance i thought "Oh look - Someone has nicked that T2 mission - The lazy Bas...." but i was wrong! :eww: You have done alot of work on the mission and you have amazed me with all these strange and wonderful things - Even the normal AI seem different! Well done to all who worked on it. :thumb:
Pity about the crashes. Maybe these can be fixed at a later date?

Same message. Heh, same thing happened to me. Shame on me for not installing GS's scripts! Well, I remembered to get the dev version for Thief 1 :p. Luckily, I only tried loading from that first save once, and then figured I might as well try to restart the whole thing over (Ctrl+Alt+Shift'ing through the buggy camvator), so I did, and everything worked fine.
The moral of the story:
saves are evil! :laff: You heard it here first, folks..

I'm so stuck... in the necromancer's tower. KO'd the Archmage , and can't get the grille open in the floor to go down the ladder . It must be something obvious since no one else has been stuck here yet... How does one open that grating ?
Otherwise this has been a great mission ! Checking out the streets, exploring all over the place... lots of fun !

Moghedian :
use the research lab key, the keeper gave you at the meeting... but i missed that too, and entered the lab a different way, up high and dirty :eww:
Moghedian,
Have you met the keeper yet? He'll give you the key to the grate...

As I am currently playing, I have not read any of the above. I never do read these threads until I am done. That way I don't accidentaly get spoilers and clues.
I do seem to have a bug in this one.
Exit pub at door at bottom of stairs. Enter first porch on the right. Door seems to be unlocked but will not open. Have tried from every possible Frob distance. Door moves about 6 inches and stops.
Other than that fun so far. Another minor glitch (maybe) with the Hammerites, but I need to recheck that one.

Beautiful mission. I especially enjoyed the easteregg in the Library. My thanks to the author.
My only regrets are a shameful lack of bananas and the missed opportunity to loot AngelWatch again.

theblackman,
it's a fake door... so you can ignore it.
