Just finished playing this mission, and I have to say, it's one of my favourites now. Well done RT!
The mission had a great sense of immersion, and I thought the whole town looked fabulous. Most things were fairly easy to find if everything was read properly, and it made a nice change to be able to roam the streets and admire the architecture freely, without the worry of a guards sword aquainting itself with my body :p
Can't wait for more taffing action from this author, I hope we don't have to wait too long! Bravo sir! :thumb:

Random_Taffer, I experience this crash when I approach eithr end of the sewer where tha hammerite is patrolling. On one side, I can cross the wood thing and then it crashes, if I go to the other end I get to the other side and then it crashes. I tried a few minutes ago and could open the metal door and then got the crash again. Maybe if someone may supply a later save I may go on from there.........I really regret not to be able to go on......

Blackjack was (at least on Normal) on the corpse in the beginning of the sewers.

Good mission! This one begs for a sequel, I'm thinking.

And quickly, too! Don't make us wait years. Congratulations on an excellent mission, Random Taffer.

The only real annoyance I've encountered is being unable to finish the mission and get into the Billowing Sail if you knockout the guard - there REALLY should have been another approach to that or add an objective where knocking him out fails the mission.

I got myself together yesterday and had a good play of FMs.
Nostalgia was nice and compact, I played it just a few days before Vagabond. Both of your FMs totally felt like some RPGs with that touch, that kind of annoys me (I dunno, is it the kid + errand thing?), yet it's not as boring as RPGs. I'm not really bashing RPGs, it's just that they get so boring and repetetive (well, Thief FMs get that too, but still), that I just end up depressed about wasted time or something. I think you made a good combo and hope you keep it up.
While in Notalgia I hardly felt seriousness and that... Thiefly (I think?) atmosphere, Vagabond already shows a much darker view, rain comes into play nicely too. I loved the nice little things everywhere, but I will truly remember this mission by the Raoul bit, even though it was being a copycat. It was well presented and he was useful just like in the original game too! :)

Thanks again everyone.
I had actually meant to rerecord the second Raoul line.
If you play them side by side you'll notice that the second is not in tune with the first. (Which I suppose is OK since they typically happen apart from each other while you're playing.) In any case, that was more or less thrown in near the end of development to make a "funny" part that would hopefully make everyone smile or laugh.
Also, Raoul was holding Constantine's Sword. Where do you suppose he found that?!?! ;)
Edit: I would also like to note that much of my inspiration in level design comes from one of my most fond gaming memories (other than Thief, of course). Many of you noticed the RPG elements. I must confess that much of this stems from my love of The Legend of Zelda. I have fond, fond memories of playing through Majora's Mask and the way it rubbed off on me is quite clear. (The masks in this mission and in Ashes & Dust)
Anyway, Thanks again for playing and I hope to continue my contribution to the Thief community in the near future.
