With your post regarding more areas than the ones I had found I went back and found
by using the doll on the stone I got a walkway into the area with the machine part.
nil8hate:
I'm also playing on Hard and I have to find Rosie and take her home and also decypher the note I found (it's in code and you can't read it). Have you found the secret areas in Truart's mansion? They will lead you to the basement areas where the pagans are hiding and where the part missing machine is.
:o i am not sure what was so funny about my post...of course it sounds ridiculous to say "i finished all my objectives and the game ends" but i am asking about a seemingly huge part of the game that i have missed by finishing too soon it seems. obviously!

Where exactly is the place to use the east/west Ruby!?
cant find it!
Where live Rosi?

nil8hate, I don't think there was anything funny about your post. It's easy to miss triggering that objective. I've sent you a PM that should help.
flying_hope, Rosie lives
in one of the small houses along the streets near the beginning of the mission. It's easy to tell which one because it's the only one that you can walk right into and there's a letter from her mother there, as well.
To find where to use the rubies
you need to search either Mosely's room really well or Truart's mansion. There's a way into that area from each of those buildings. The one in Truart's mansion is along the side of the stairs, near one of the doors into the front foyer.
Very well done, Uncadonego and Thorin. I finished the first time with only the basic objectives completed and totally missed the expanded areas. Went through again to trigger the additional objectives. Got 9 out of 10 secrets but still 700 short of total loot.
Glad to see my nick made the police list! :thumb:

Great FM but my deciphering machine won't give me the note back. After all that work finding the missing part and the machine is now running; I drop the note in the top but nothing happens. I can see the note down in the back feeder but can't reach it to try again so I have to S C A End to end the game.....bummer! I even got Rosie back to her bed and a lot of loot, just that one objective left:eww: :nono: :(
Yes, I pressed the little red button...many times after dropping the note! I even tried dropping another note from my inventory and that didn't help. I think I'll go back and
play on Expert and see how that works. I didn't save before dropping the note....bad...
stupid me...! Live and Learn (the hard way).

I can't remember what method Don decided to go with in making that machine, Corey, but you might have to reload and try dropping the note in again. Ingame triggers are sometimes buggy, unfortunately. If the light is on on the machine, and you've added the missing piece that the apebeasts had, then it should work when you drop it in and then push the button.
It's too bad Don didn't design it to where the note could be grabbed again if it didn't work the first time, but that's life.
My favorite conversation is the one at the gate where the guard tells Benny to "just stand there..." Priceless. "NO, I don't know what you mean. What do you mean?" Duh. :D Of course, Left? Right. I thought you said left. Right! Left? RIGHT!!!! Comes in a close second though. :cheeky: (Reminds me of Who's on first?)
