Clerc and Gallaudet developed ASL (upstairs hand paintings), Samuel Morse made Morse code (radio downstairs) Louis Braille made Braille (sign down in Rosie room). All of them are the same number code.
Just a hint to let people know where to start, that's all.:)

Finished Mixed Messages, and managed to ghost it. The hardest parts were the streets surrounding the Truart estate and the precinct, which are (IMO) too well lit. But I managed to do it -- albeit with a paltry 2046 out of 3099 loot. I did get 24 of 25 pockets, which I think is all of them, and 9 of 10 secrets (missing the Easter egg).

Eight and a half hours to play?! Wow! Nice write up. I've never much been into ghosting, although I did enjoy Framed. There is a loot list oriented walkthrough available at Cheap, although it doesn't include the Easter Egg. The Easter Egg certainly would "pay the rent" though, as Garrett always seems to be needing. I believe on ghost, with the available invisibility potions, you could turn off all the watchers. I'm not sure about the rules for ghosting though. Are you allowed to turn off watchers? I know that in Framed, you must turn off the vault watchers, so I'm thinking it's probably allowed. I did have ghosters in mind when I decided to make so many moss arrows available.
I'm a "knock everyone out" sort of player.
My best time for all 100% loot and all objectives including hidden is 1h 24m, I think.
Sounds like for the most part, you enjoyed it though.
As for the lighting....hmmm. I have a hard time knowing what to do sometimes. With Two Fathers, most agreed it was too dark. I thought this one still had many areas where the ruby never even flickered, I thought some would say some areas were still too dark, but I was absolutely at the Dromed limit for animated lights. I couldn't even include a fire arrow for inventory! I was just working on the assumption that the most vital areas of the game such as the fortress entrance and the armoury entrance would be well lit.
Did everyone find sufficient tools in their inventory and tools discovered in game to finish the game?

Sure, you can turn off watchers; and I did. I turned them all off
without any steenkin' invisibility potions!
You're not allowed to commit property damage -- so you can't destroy watchers or bots, you can't smash down doors, you can't even slash banners. But you can certainly turn off lights, open doors, and turn off watchers.
I'm not sure whether you can water-arrow bots, but I always operate on the theory that this is the equivalent of blackjacking, so I never do it while ghosting.
Here are the official ghost rules; scroll down to the post with the subject "
Ghost Mode Official Rules":

I got your mail btw and responded.
There is one treasure that can only be collected by slashing a banner. I didn't realize that ghosters would not be able to Perfect Thief if I made slashing a banner necessary.
Sorry about that.
No invisibility potions eh? Did you rush the two back watchers from the back door of the precinct, or put out all the torches?
Is using a flashbomb on a watcher OK?
I'm off to follow your link to read about it.

That's odd. The various rules seem to say that burricks can't be blackjacked. I am positive that you can blackjack them. I have done it, even frogbeasts.

Don, I'm a "Knock everyone out" kinda player myself :)
i only kill ppl when i get into a confrontation (my justification on that is they're going to kill me if i dont defend myself) but sometimes i like to pick guards off with my arrows when i feel like playing the sniper..........or had a bad day (What do you mean youre cutting my hours huh? ***lets arrow fly*** Looks like im in for a promotion, theyll be needing someone to fill his spot :ebil:)
As much as im in to collecting swords, i hardly use them in this game unless like i said in a confrontation.
I dont really like ghosting or anything close to it, i love to use water arrows, anything at my disposal , plus im too impatient. :p
but to all you ghosters, you got my respect, cuz i could never sit there and sit there waiting and not using anything at my disposal.
i got a couple questions for ghosters tho:
does using a healing potion break a ghost?
Cheers :)

Someone should make a conversation in a mission where a bunch of guards are arguing about who has to wear the no KO helmets!
"I'm not wearing that thing! Everyone who wears it gets killed! I'd rather get knocked out!
Or someone could make a Garspeak where he says : "Oh there's a bluecoat with a no knock-out helmet. Hmmmm....just gonna have to kill 'em, I guess."
:laff:
