I need help with the first building around the corner, immediately after the start.
The one with a guard at ground floor, and an archer upstairs, and with 2 ladder, above some platforms Jumping from the other buildings from the same block, I entered the room with the archer, knock him out. But I can't find a solution (locally) to enter in the next room, that has a stair leading downstairs. I tried a lot of rope arrow shooting, but I can't manage to get to the ladder (outside), or to crouch to enter the rectangular window to get next room (inside).
I give up! The only thing I could do is to find 2-3 crates and to move crouch on them through that window.
But my guess is the author didn't intend that.
So, any advices?

Thanks, Sticky Fingers.
This is the saving phrase: "
Back on the ground, go round to the NW corner of the building. Stand close to the corner facing South (looking towards the balcony) and shoot a Rope arrow into the eaves about halfway between the corner and the balcony. ".
My mistake was that I tried to shoot rope arrow from the street, facing the building. So the rope arrows had an oblique trajectory, hitting the stone of the roof...

I've finished the mission but found only 9 out of 10 secrets (hate when that happens; I preffer 1 out of 10, :) ) and I'm missing about 500 loot. [But I played on hard, because I got scared after uncadonego's warning from the readme file that the expert option will leave you on your own with the clues.]
I'm hoping that the undiscovered secret has a lot of loot.

I read the uncadonego's post.
Before that, I used the link with the walkthrough that you nicely provided it few posts ago, and I "found" the missing secret.
Well, I have no expectation from myself regarding the noticing the last ciphred rows form the mixed messages. If I would have play 1000 times the mission, 1000 times I would have missed that.
But, what I could have done better, it's a more carefull exploration. To be honest, the spot with the switch it's not very hard to find. It's hidden, but VISIBLE, and that's an important characteristic. I've seen a looot of missions, with invisibile switches, in which you must press constantly the key for action [Enter on my keyboard].
So, in this mission, only the very good strategic placement of the switch, right before the finish, and in a room where is very dangerous to be, not stimulating the player to explore it makes you fail (and made me fail).
In every mission I'm scared that the author could have placed the secrets in "hard to get spots". For example, in high huge rooms with a rich design made of spots and dots an author can put a switch or a button somewhere high on the wall, next to the ceiling, masked by the design, and unlightened. Total nightmare! No chance to finding secrets without 20 hours of exploration (for the medium or large size missions). That's what I call "perverse placement".
This is no case with this mission of uncadonego. He is quite full of mercy, thanks to the Builder! :)

Hmm, that's an interesting perspective. Thanks. Many people feel I'm a little sadistic with hidden switch placements. I don't want to torture anyone trying to find them, but I still want hidden switches to be, well..hidden.:)

Maybe a lil' bit in "A thief nonetheless". But that was a small mission, and in small missions I believe finding the secret switches may be the only fun (when not solving puzzles).
I must state that until now I only played 4 of your missions. I will get back with new opinion on this matter (if it will be the case) after playing all your missions.

I really really don't want to have any gripe about your FM's, but in this one I gotz one and it's kinda major! :tsktsk:
VERY few ppl nowadays have any knowledge of morse code AND unless one has naval experience, one will NOT know the nautical flag code! :p

I believe thats why walkthroughs were invented..lol Sorry had to reply to that!:thumb:
Not all missions are for everyone. I had a bit of trouble there too. But with the hints and notes in the mission combined with a peek or ywo at the walkthrough it should be okay. By the way let us know if you solve the final easter egg secret.:thumb:
