I'm in the area where the guard sleeping quarters are and I can no longer shoot any type of arrow. When I draw my bow and let go, the arrow just stays there right where I was standing, floating in mid air.
I'm playing on normal difficulty (didn't realize there was a difference since the objectives were the same up front).

I still would like to get an answer for my question: was the 'mice' theme taken from "Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Kayes, because that's what I recall, yet I read this book quite a while ago.
It's been twenty six years since I read Flowers For Algernon. I don't remember if it was in there or not, but if it was, it's not from there originally.
sluggs You don't have to learn braille or any of the other codes at all to know the combination. If you started playing on Normal it shouldn't have been necessary for you to open up dromed to know the code either. The code is in writing on Normal, and you are told point blank where to look to read it, in plain english.

Red Rubies
I'm playing on Expert. I've got all the major objectives done. So I had another rummage around to see if I could find me loot.
and found the tellyport pool. I've figured out the clues but I'm missing the rubies. I've looked over the map twice but all I find is more loot.
Help please.

ok im assuming that the button
behind the bed with the book under it in the room with the boat on the mantle
is the one that starts the timer.
Am I correct on this?
also, to activate the timer, do i just press that button or is there something else i have to do.?
ok as far as the buttons, i pressed in
North East West South
do i have to press em more than once at a time?
and what does Karra's Victrola with "Mary had a Little Lamb" have to do anything?
btw, great work hidign the piece to that other machine :)

Sorry about that! I can't remember finding the code though when i first played it on normal! I had to start the mission from scratch but this time i played on expert because i accidentally saved the game when i died! So i replayed it on expert! :laff:

Great job making this fm. :thumb: I had lotts of fun playing it.
Great sence of humor. I always like it when an fm has some good humor in it.
Played it on expert and it was though, like it said in the readme.
However i did cheated once,
in the bedroom where you find the timerswitch there are two secret doors in the fireplace, when you go to the right there is a ladder but on the left there was nothing, so i figured there had to be someting on Normal or Hard. And it was exactly the thing i was looking for.
I do have a question though,
i never found the message you have to put into the machine, i have it up and running but where can i find the message, i am curious what is says.
I still am missing quit some loot and missed two secrets, will there be a loot list in the near future?

For the note to unscramble,
go into Mosley's quarters (with the M banner on the wall) not the precinct office, her quarters. Look very carefully in that room
If you need more of a hint than that, just post again.

Mary had a little lamb isn't actually a clue. The wax cylinder device in the real world was invented by Thomas Edison. When he made a demo cylinder to show to his associates, those are the words he recorded. The sketch of the design (downstairs on blueprint paper) is copied from Edison's original sketch. Karras' instructions on the sketch to Brother Kruesi to build the victrola according to the design sketch is based on the engineer who built the victrola for Edison. His name was Kruesi. Kruesi is one of the engineers you kill in Secret Weapon. One of the readables in Secret Weapon is Brother Kruesi complaining that he built the victrola but Karras got the patent and the royalties.
Just something to put in the games for fun.

Sorry about that? You did more rippin' on my year's work than you spent actually trying to think about it. God help you, you're just not that bright.:tsktsk:
