Yes, this AI walks a designated path towards broken bridge and whenever an enemy AI reaches mages vicinity by making noises, he starts shouting a warcry and goes then into search mode and once he see the target he starts (shaking his arms gesture) shooting until they die (he wont stop until they're dead or either silent enough) and shortly he shouts out again when he goes from search mode back into normal mode of continuing to walking a designated path.
Granted I take it you never closed down the
electricty of the rat that now makes painful noises and is attracting this mage, did you try and shut down the
electricity from the
rat cage?
Other than this I can only assume something went weird or try an earlier saved game and ensuring
the rat's cage isn't active..

To all: you have to go forward and backwards in the haunted house.
Get the victola outside, do what you have to do in the bedroom with the rat, go to the mirror room and do what you have to do ... go back and forth to the paw upstairs in the haunted house en read the "help"" .... and "thanks" letter ..... do what is asked of you ...... go check the basement, the roof and open the switch in the boarded up room (right next to the bed) and go back to the basement again ......after that a visit to the graveyard isn't wrong.
Sorry to not be all that direct, but I want you to find the solutions yourself. :ebil: :devil: Don't beat me up on this :grr:

O and also: cut the electricity from the rat cage where you took the record. You wouldn't want to harm such a little pet too long, don't you :eek:

I got 1 part of the sceptre and one diamond, went back to tombs, digged the grave. The corpse highlights but if I use the book on him nothing happens. I also tried throwing it in the grave with no result...... what am I missing????

I think I need a key for the cabinet,in the room with the safe,been in the basement, I have to find a way into that room with the dead woman,could someone please help

Go back to the work room the one with a big safe in the corner, something (two items) there has become frobable that previously wasn't that will help you with the task of writing down the glyphs for your mysterious entity that it so requested from you, unless I'm mistaken I think you might have overlooked a tiny detail that ran you to a halt that essentially prevents you from progressing, the "help" and a "thanks" scroll you'll eventually get they really tell you what to do so consider slowing down your playstyle, this wonderful mission in question requires that you take great detail to changes that happens over time and to carefully scanning in places that you think sounds logical to where you might find items that will help you with specific tasks to what is requested from you even if it appears very vague.If you want an outright answer to where cabinet key is found. ->

This has been a fascinating game with lots of puzzles to solve. Have really enjoyed it even though I have had to travel, it seems, dozens of times up the stairs, down the stairs, to the cemetery, etc.
The bridge is still floating and I can't go across. The 'person' that helps me is standing at the foot of the cemetery shouting his war cry and hoisting his scepter. All the baddies have been eliminated. The rat is not hooked to the electricity...I made sure to turn the switch to off. What must I do to cross the bridge?...and thanks for the help.
