Let a firearrow explode nearby or use yout blackjack or sword on him. At any rate make him going and then wait some time after he calmed down.
After some minutes he should become frobbable.
(Oh, and maybe better don't save & reload while waiting for that to happen. Just to be sure.)

When I try to get him to walk around, by making some noise, there's a spot where it sounds like Wood, when he step on it.
But only then he does, not when I do it.
Is that the spot he is supposed to be, to get frobable?
Sometimes he keeps getting frightened by something I can't see.
He stop walking around different Places each time. :confused:

re: GUFF's post about modified water, although i had my HDMod installed i did not have any water mod installed
Uninstalled HDMod and it plays no problem...:D
has anyone played this with HDMod installed ?
better still could someone else see if they can do so, as there may be a compatability issue, if so Beltzer may wish to make a announcement at the beginning of this thread advising people not in play this FM with HDmod installed

Hmmm....
if I recall correct, he is supposed to take care of any zombies and haunts before he can find his peace.
Did that objective tick off?
There should be nothing left to get him nervous.
Maybe double-check and lure any remaining enemy towards him.
I don't think there is a specifc 'spot'. I guess its the entire area near the cliffs where he should end up.
Still... you will need some patience. Best have a cup of coffee.

Now I have tried playing the mission over again - from scratch!
Thought I might have done someting wrong, early on.
But the guy just do it again - stand at the tree, near the Cliffs, doing absolutely nothing. :confused:
And I have had to reload so many times just to get him to go all the way to the Cliffs.
One time he, two haunts and the White lady got outside the frence, and he couldn't get back.
Multible times he just keep getting scared and jump backwards into the fence. :confused:
What a disappointment. :(
He didn't get to kill all AI's, as they attached each other.
The haunts and the White lady killed the spiders. I killed the zombie in the cellar, as I couldn't get him lured up from there.
Advice will be appreciated. ;)

I am also unable to finish this, otherwise, superb mission. I am having the exact same problems with the last part, despite reloading. Well, I haven't started from scratch, but from my last hard save which was just before I dropped the talisman and the book in the grave, so before the scripted scenario.
My observations: of around 10 reloads, the most my friend mage has reached was the tree before the cliff where he is just standing. Then in other circumstances, it got either stuck in (how to say this) panic mode or even some time he managed to walk backwards through the fence leading to the northern part of the first area (with spiders), which is not accessible to me.
At first I thought the problem was the white zombie lady in the basement, so I killed her myself. But even with all the enemies killed, he goes into panic mode every time he sees the dead bodies (the white dead lady; dead spiders which the haunts killed before) or maybe even when seeing light. So I tried to remove the bodies, but to no avail. Also the funny thing was the last haunt (from the ending mission point of view) near the dark abandoned house before the cliff. The mage needed a minute or so to respond to his attacks and kill him, because as soon as the mage left the light (mushroom), he went into search mode while the haunt beating him with his weapon.
In these rare cases when he reached the last tree before the cliff, I tried to blackjack him or shoot the fire arrow to him and near him. This woke up the spider, so I took care of him-doing this or not, the result is the same. Anyway, if I disturbed my "friend" with the fire arrow, he did (or did not, its random) go to the search mode, every time he went to the other direction, and then again just stopped and stood still with no chance to be frobbed. Or, in other case, panic time-moving backwards he went as far as near the door of the abandoned house.
Otherwise this is a great mission with great horror parts. The hardest part for me was to recognize the diamonds were parts of the talisman; I needed a couple of hours of intensive search to find out there are actually only 2 real talisman pieces. :rolleyes:
EDIT: Tried again, but unsuccessful again. After the last haunt is killed, either the mage stops before cliff (after at least 5 min panicking) and just stands or just continues to panic (when he sees mushrooms and spiders I presume) and moving just backwards. And as soon as he touches the fence, there is no way he leaves panicking mode. Waiting time- app. 10 mins on average.
EDIT 2: I thought the reason was also I forgot to kill the man zombie in the basement, so this time I did it, but nothing changed. I assume he is afraid of dead bodies. For an experiment, when he calmed down, but could not frob him, I tried to make him move with flashbombs, he moved a little, but then he stopped at different place. I then brought him a corpse of white dead lady and he started panicking again. One time he also moved through the cemetery door without being seen by the last haunt before cliff.
FINAL EDIT: FINISHED, but the in the way that was very surprising.
After waiting for app. half an hour for the mage to be frobbed, eating lunch and drinking cofee :D (while he was standing still below cliff), I made a hard save of the situation, reloaded and BUM-the guy became frobable. I haven't tried with quick save though.

Only second mission I have to leave unfinished for now, out of 999 :eek: T2 FM. :(

The above refers to the blue water, but the green also has exactly 99 frames each for
grin (green in) and
grout (green out). Gecko has got some interesting stuff going on inside the waterhw folder, including a water_mod_tool.exe. It's way over my head but may provide a clue as to the crashes some players are encountering.

I'm really enjoying this so far, but now I'm stuck in the black & white mansion. I went to the room with the mirror, and found the other room behind it with the creepy doll. I checked the safe room, but there's a cabinet lock in there I can't pick. There's a bunch of doors (basement door in the kitchen, a door upstairs with light behind it, etc) that I can't open, and I've been everywhere and can't find anything else...
