Thank you Beltzer for this new FM. I started yesterday and have played for about an hour and 15 minutes in game time (2 hours in real time). The first 45 minutes was really slow going and a bit frustrating, since most everything is locked and there were no keys apparently available. Once I got a rope arrow things started to get easier. I usually play these things in an order the author does not intend. For instance, I bet you figured someone would try to raid the mansion first, then the city watch. Maybe not, but you need to raid one first before the other to get a clue. I raided the watch first, then proceeded to search my butt off looking for a code that is definitely not there :joke:
A few questions.
Are the power cables supposed to be climbable? There is one area off of a balcony that I jumped up to a triangle of 2 cables and tried to jump on a roof. I was really stuck - could not crouch or jump from the wires.
Also, many of the roof only allow movement about half way up (such as the roof over the Mechanist house). Is that intentional and normal?
Thanks again for the release. At first it seems so simple, then it just starts to expand. It started off way to easy in my opinion, with almost no AI, then whammo.

Bjack, yes the roofpart mas made so intentional. You don't need to go all the way up to that roof.
Hahaha, I thought Mortuos Liber meant Free from death, which made sense to me. :joke:
As a tester I needed help too once in a while. It took some time for me to get the -go foward and backwards again- part.
But I must say it was a joy to test this FM! Ik hope he'll also build a sequal, or another mission! :thumb:

Thanks Gloria :D I will still go up onto the roofs here and there looking for Easter eggs and extra loot. Note to everyone, there is a lot of random loot laying about. If you are short - check the ground, windows, ledges, etc.

I'm having some trouble finding a saw which I think I need in the cemetery. Any hints? Thanks.

I am stuck. I have the book and one diamond. I need to get into the boarded up room. I cannot find a way in. I have used the bolder, tried the ceiling hatch, tried bashing the boards, tried to roof, and tried fire arrows. I have also put the rock on the claw near the unfrobbable door with no effect. I have been at this for over an hour since I got the book and have been trying before that with no luck. I even went up top again and got new objectives just to see if this triggers that room somehow. How do you get into that room?
Also, and maybe related, the long hall upstairs off the toilet room that leads to the last main room upstairs will kill you if to touch the wall just next to the horse painting on the left. Frob that area and you will get burned. Frob it twice and you die. I think whatever is in the boarded up room is partly passing itself through the wall. If you hug the wall while walking down it, you will die. This is the hall that has a burnt out light.

Just want to add my thanks for this great mission! The way it all connects and makes players think is just brilliant, and the house at the end is some of the scariest stuff I've played in Thief 2!
